Magnetic nanoparticles are encapsulated in a thermosensitive polymer nanostructure having a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) of about 40-45° C. The thermosensitive polymer nanostructure may carry a drug. When the magnetic nanoparticles are heated to 40-45° C. by application of an alternating magnetic field in hyperthermia treatment, the thermosensitive polymer nanostructure collapses to release the drug, thus providing concurrent drug treatment.

An apparatus and method for moving object detection computes a corresponding frame difference for every two successive image frames of a moving object, and segments a current image frame of the two successive image frames into a plurality of homogeneous regions. At least a candidate region is further detected from the plurality of homogeneous regions. The system gradually merges the computed frame differences via a morphing-based technology and interests with the at least a candidate region, thereby obtains the location and a complete outline of the moving object.

The invention discloses a novel thermostable D-hydantoinase, and relates to the nucleic acid sequence, amino acid sequence and vector constructs of the enzyme. The thermostable D-hydantoinase of the invention shows about 45%-70% identity in amino acid sequence with other D-hydantoinases. The thermostable D-hydantoinase of the invention converts 5′-substituted D-hydantoinase to the corresponding N-carbamoyl-D- and/or -L-&agr;/&bgr;-amino acids, and retains at least 50% activity after 30 days at 50° C. In addition, the enzyme activity can also enhanced by certain divalent cations.
