Abstract:
A method of manufacturing laminated plates, pencil boards or shafts for utensils for writing, drawing or painting, wherein the method includes initially producing in a container a pulp essentially composed of raw material powder and/or fibers and water, wherein the pulp is essentially free of binding agent, applying the pulp onto a screen and predrying the pulp in layers in the form of webs or foils so as to form a non-woven fabric, rolling the fabric onto a roller, applying between the material layers a connecting layer of binding agent, adhesives and/or other additives and cutting, dehydrating and drying the resulting plates and subjecting the plates to further processing.
Abstract:
A method and composition are disclosed for the preparation of pencil lead from clay, graphite and optionally other material, wherein the clay or the clay/graphite mixture is digested with water, pressed, dried and fired, and at least one alkali phosphate, alkali borate and/or alkali carbonate is added before or as part of the digestion of the clay or the clay/graphite mixture.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a body, particularly a molded body made of polystyrene, particularly polystyrene particle foam or polystyrene hard foam, wherein the polystyrene, particularly the polystyrene particle foam or the polystyrene hard foam, comprises petroleum coke, particularly petroleum coke particles.
Abstract:
An eraser based on polyvinyl chloride having particles of a crosslinked polymeric natural or synthetic rubber embedded in the polyvinyl chloride structure. Such erasers have high strength and good aging resistance. Additionally, conventional softeners in the eraser do not undergo significant migration and consequently, the eraser does not smudge. A process for manufacturing the eraser is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a dispersion, consisting of a dispersing liquid and at least one solid substance that is distributed in the dispersing liquid. In order to obtain a dispersion with particularly good properties, it is provided that the dispersing liquid has an aqueous and/or non-aqueous base, that the at least one solid substance is formed of graphite and/or of carbon nanomaterial and/or of coke and/or of porous carbon, and that the at least one solid substance is distributed homogeneously and stably in the dispersing liquid. A method for the production of such a dispersion is provided such that the dispersion is produced by applying a strong accelerating voltage. In addition, various advantageous uses of such a dispersion are indicated.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a rubber eraser made of a binder and plasticizer, as well as fillers, pigments and/or other additives, if applicable, which contains polyalkyl methacrylate (PAMA), especially polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyethyl methacrylate (PEMA), polypropyl methacrylate (PPMA), polybutyl methacrylate (PBMA) and/or copolymerizates of these as the binder. Furthermore, the invention concerns processes for manufacturing such rubber erasers, where either first, a plastisol of fine-grain polyalkyl methacrylate and plasticizer is formed, and fillers, internal lubricants, pigments and/or other additives are then mixed into this plastisol, or according to which first, the PAMA powder, the filler as well as any other dry components such as internal lubricants, pigments, etc. are intimately mixed while dry, and the liquid plasticizer is then added to this mixture and mixed or kneaded in.
Abstract:
An eraser composition composed of conventional fillers and additives wherein the binder is a styrene-butadiene-styrene block polymer having a butadiene portion of 10 to 40%. The eraser composition can be easily extruded using simple commercial machines presently available and thus is inexpensive to manufacture. Furthermore, the use of this particular material as a binder produces a superior eraser composition.

Abstract:
A method for producing and commissioning a transmission with a water-based lubricant comprises the following steps. A mixture of a vaporizable liquid, a comminuted solid lubricant and a preserving agent (22) are applied (21) to the finished rotary parts (20) and then dried (23), whereby a coating forms on them. The rotary parts with the coating are installed in the transmission housing and the assembled transmission is filled with a cooling liquid (25), which is primarily essentially water. The transmission is put into operation for the first time (27), wherein the lubricant for the further operation is only formed by abrasion of the rotary parts and distribution of the abraded matter in the cooling liquid. The transmission is then ready for operation (28). Furthermore, a lubricant produced by this method is described.
