摘要: A toner image fixing apparatus has a fixing roller, a pressing roller, and a heating roller which are rotatable about their own axes. The pressing roller presses a sheet carrying an unfixed toner image against the fixing roller to fix the unfixed toner image to the sheet. The heating roller is disposed on one side of the fixing roller remotely from the pressing roller. An endless heat transfer belt is trained around the heating and fixing rollers for transferring heat from a heater to heat the unfixed toner image on the sheet. A guide plate is positioned upstream of the pressing roller for guiding the sheet to enter between the fixing and pressing rollers. The heat transfer belt and the guide plate are so spaced from each other that the sheet prior to being entering between the fixing and pressing rollers is kept out of contact with the heat transfer belt. The heat transfer belt may be positioned outside of a region where the sheet guided by the guide plate possibly passes. An angle between a line segment interconnecting the centers of the heating and fixing rollers and a reference line interconnecting the centers of the fixing and pressing rollers lies in a range from 105.degree. to 255.degree.. The fixing roller is a resilient roller with an outer resilient layer. The temperatures of the fixing and pressing rollers are kept in a predetermined temperature range in a standby mode.

摘要: Pieces of working information on workloads, positions of the workloads, pieces of environmental information on cooling facilities, and positions of the cooling facilities are stored as arrangement information. The pieces of working information on the workloads are estimated, and allocation of tentative workloads is deduced for fear the pieces of working information may exceed the performances of a group of information processing devices. Tentative power consumptions and arrangement information resulting from the allocation of the tentative workloads, and tentative power consumptions and arrangement information necessary for the allocation of the tentative workloads are calculated. Tentative cooling powers required to control the cooling facilities are calculated. Allocation of the tentative workloads minimizing the sum total of the tentative power consumptions of the information processing devices and the tentative cooling powers of the cooling facilities is searched. Based on the searched allocation, the workloads are allocated to the information processing devices.

摘要: A load distribution of controllers is made possible in a combination of a switch and a controller which do not have a load distribution function independently, and in a combination of the switch and the controller that do not have a compatibility in the load distribution function due to a difference of makers. Specifically, in a system which controls a data flow flowing through the network by dynamically setting a delivery route of a packet to switches in the network by the controllers such as a server, the master controller is determined to the switch while notifying a connection from the switch to the plurality of controllers, by a proxy provided between the switch and the controller, and an inquiry message from the switch is transferred only to the master controller. A route data registration message is transmitted to the proxy from the master controller in response to the inquiry message from the switch. The route data registration message is transferred to all the switches which are dealt with the notice from the proxy.
