    摘要: An elongated flow-through vacuum degassing apparatus includes an elongated gas and liquid impermeable outer tube and one or more gas-permeable, liquid-impermeable elongated inner tubes extending coaxially within the outer tube. The degassing apparatus further includes a vacuum source adaptor extending from a side wall of the outer tube and co-extensively with a vacuum source coupling aperture in the outer tube so as to create a sealed axial vacuum chamber between the outer tube and the inner tubes. The apparatus also includes inlet and outlet connection structures operably coupled to respective portions of the outer tube and the inner tubes to further enable a sealed engagement between the outer tube and the inner tubes, and to provide for connection devices for operably coupling the degassing apparatus of the present invention to respective components in a chromatographic system. A permeate side of the membrane is exposed to an environment having a second partial pressure of a target gas, which second partial pressure is lower than a first partial pressure of the gas in the fluid.

    摘要: An apparatus for application of controlled amounts of cyanoacrylate adhesive catalyst solution to a substrate is disclosed. The apparatus includes an absorbent, wicking material that is permeated with catalyst solution. By contacting the permeated wicking material with the substrate, controlled amounts of catalyst solution may be applied to delimited areas of the substrate. The apparatus, which may have a configuration similar to that of a felt tip marking pen, allows convenient use of low-volatility solvents in the catalyst solution. Also disclosed is a method for application of catalyst solution and cyanoacrylate adhesive to a substrate. A dye or other colorimetric substance may be added to the catalyst solution to allow for visualization of the amount and location of catalyst solution on the substrate.
