摘要: Coherent light emitted from a coherent light source 1 is sent as a probe beam through a connector 31 into an optical fiber being measured. A portion of this beam is sent to an optical frequency converter 100 to form an optical pulse train having a frequency which is frequency-swept in steps of a designated frequency at a designated periodicity, and an optical pulse having a designated frequency is extracted from the optical pulse train by an electro-optic switch 18 and sent to the optical fiber being measured. Then, a signal beam exiting the optical fiber being measured is heterodyne-received by means of a local beam passing through either a connecting optical fiber 6 side or a frequency shifter 7 side according to the selection of optical switches 4 and 5. Consequently, it is possible to measure the characteristics of the optical fiber by means of a BOTDR, BOTDA or a COTDR.

摘要: In one configuration, a urine sampler comprises a hollow, cylindrical main stick body that is closed at least at one end and has a plurality of urine collection apertures formed in the wall thereof and, in another, comprises a urine collector having a long rod-shaped handle, a urine collection member constituted continuously with the handle and provided with urine collection apertures and a urine accumulator constituted continuously with the base of the urine collection member, and a urine storage capsule having a cutter for cutting a portion of the urine collector, a urine container for receiving urine flowing in from the urine collector and a lid. In the second configuration, the urine collector and the urine storage capsule are separate units. The urine sampler of either configuration is compact and extremely easy to use for collecting a urine sample of the minimum required quantity and, moreover, enables the collected sample to be safely transferred without spilling.

摘要: A development apparatus for developing a latent electrostatic image formed on a photoconductor with a one-component type developer has a charging device comprising at least two charging members for charging the developer held in a developer container. The first charging member serves both as a doctor blade and for regulating the amount of the developer on the development roller, and the second charging member charges the developer before it is charged by the first charging member. In the second charging member, there is formed a hole for allowing the developer to pass therethrough. The developer scraped by the first charging member is returned to the developer container through the hole and part of the scraped developer is carried back to the first charging member, so that a developer circulation path is formed in the charging device. While passing through the developer circulation path, the developer is charged further, whereby the developer is sufficiently charged before it is actually used for development.

摘要: A container for addition (co-infusion) of medicine to an infusion bag and aims to keep a positive sealed condition while preventing a number of parts from being increased and while maintaining a positive releasing of the sealed condition when an infusion process is carried out. A breakable lug 20 is integrally formed at a end of a port body 10 to which a soft container 80 for storing therein with a co-infusion liquid under a sealed manner, which lug 20 is able to be broken in order to obtain a release function. A rubber plug 98 of an infusion bag 90 is pierced by a needle body 11, while the port body 10 is press fitted into a straight bore of the needle body 11, so that the lug 20 is contacted with an opposed bottom wall of the needle body 11, resulting in at least partial breakage of the lug 20, thereby forming an opening 89 at the portion where the breakage is taken place, so that the medicine in the soft container 80 is transported (co-infused) into the infusion bag 90.

摘要: It is an object of the invention to present a disassembling method and disassembling apparatus for disassembling easily an electronic appliance having a housing, and electronic components such as cathode-ray tube accommodated in the housing, classifying without mixing of impurities, and recycling at low cost by automating. An electronic appliance having a housing, a cathode-ray tube, and plural electronic components is put on a conveying pallet, and it is transferred by a conveyor. The conveyed electronic appliance is put on a tiltable work bench, a back plate of the housing is removed, and an opening is formed. Blowing a high pressure air shower to the opening, dust deposits on the electronic components are removed and cleaned. Moreover, other side of the housing is processed into a U-form by end mill, and a further opening is formed, and the cathode-ray tube is taken out through this further opening. The metal band of the dismounted cathode-ray tube is heated by high frequency induction, and the metal band is removed. The adhesive applied on the cathode-ray tube is removed by using a rotary brush having metal wires. Still more, judging whether a safety panel is installed at the front side of the cathode-ray tube or not by using distance sensors, the safety panel is classified. Such disassembling process is executed by using an automated disassembling apparatus.

摘要: A casing for audiovisual equipment presents an outer appearance giving the impression of integrating a hole area formed of a plurality of sound transmitting fine holes with the casing, thereby making the hole area unnoticeable. This allows a viewer to easily concentrate on the screen by eliminating anything noticeable and distributing from the area surrounding the screen, and also gives the outside of the casing a luxurious appearance. In order to make the hole area unnoticeable, maintain good volume and quality of sound from the speaker, and arrange the diameter .o slashed.d mm of the tapered fine holes to be practically the smallest, the relationship between the diameter .o slashed.d mm and the thickness T mm of the casing must be expressed by the following formula: (1/6).times.T mm.ltoreq..o slashed.d mm.ltoreq.0.5 mm.
