摘要: A drum brake having a brake drum, brake shoes, a carrier plate and a load measurement device in the region of an abutment is mountable on a steering knuckle. The abutment has a cylinder in which two pistons are guided, on the outer end faces of which the abutment ends of the brake shoes rest and the inner end faces of which are each supported by a spring on a step in the cylinder. A hollow peg projects from the outside of the cylinder and penetrates an opening in the carrier plate, such that it can be received in a receiving space in the steering knuckle resting on the carrier plate or in a reinforcement element fixed on the steering knuckle.

摘要: A braking system for vehicles includes wheel brakes, a pressure-providing device for actuating the wheel brakes, a master brake cylinder having a primary pressure chamber, a secondary pressure chamber, and a secondary piston. The primary pressure chamber is separated from a first set of the wheel brakes by a first, normally open separating valve, and the secondary pressure chamber is separated from a second set of the wheel brakes by a second, normally open separating valve. A pressure medium reservoir is connected to the secondary pressure chamber in the unactuated state of the secondary piston, the braking system is activated in order to actively build up pressure in the brakes in a by-wire operating mode by the pressure-providing device. In the event of a pressure medium surplus in the wheel brakes, the second separating valve is opened if a release of the brake pedal by the driver is detected.

摘要: An air suspension system for a motor vehicle and a method of operating thereof includes an air suspension device for adjusting a ride-height position of the motor vehicle by the feeding and removal of compressed air into a plurality of air springs. The system also includes a dryer supplied via a compressed-air supply unit which has a compressor driven by an electric motor. A control unit for performing a ride-height control function has instruction for: raising the ride-height position to a first ride-height position; subsequently lowering the ride-height position to a second ride-height position; checking a first condition whether a determined air quantity ratio is less than a first predetermined air quantity limit value; checking a second condition whether a saturation level of the dryer is greater than a saturation limit value, and activating the ride-height control function when either the first or the second condition is satisfied.
