摘要： Systems and methods for authenticating subscribers of video signals are disclosed. In accordance with the various embodiments, a subscriber authentication system includes an encoder coupled to a source of video signals and a source of subscriber data. The encoder generates encoded video signals having at least a portion of the subscriber data encoded in the video signals. An authentication indicating apparatus operable to receive the encoded video signals and to decode the received signals generates an authentication status for the subscriber.

摘要： A system including a planning module configured to generate a transition plan in response to a deviation of the vehicle system from an operating plan. The transition plan designates one or more tractive operations or braking operations to be implemented by the vehicle system to achieve a designated operating parameter prior to an approaching location along the route. A vehicle control module is configured to control operation of the vehicle system according to the transition plan as the vehicle system travels toward the approaching location from a location where the vehicle system deviates from the operating plan. The planning module is configured to generate a prospective plan in response to the deviation. The prospective plan designates one or more tractive operations or braking operations to be implemented by the vehicle system when the vehicle system at least one of moves past the approaching location or completes the transition plan.

摘要： A method for encoding a carrier signal in a video signal, the video signal having one or more frames, the frames each having a first field and a second field, the first field and the second field of each frame having a plurality of scan lines, each having a plurality of pixels with an intensity value indicating brightness, the method comprising selectively designating the plurality of scan lines of the first field of the one or more frames as up lines or down lines, calculating an optimum amount of adjustment to the pixels of the up lines and the down lines, and selectively increasing the intensity value of pixels of the up lines and decreasing the intensity value of pixels of the down lines by the optimum amount of adjustment thereby modulating the video signal with a carrier signal and creating a modulated video signal.

When a current device time is within a notification time qualification of the scheduled start time, a programming content start alert may be generated. An interactive opportunity notification associated with the programming content may be provided based on generation of the programming content start alert.
