Abstract: There is provided a reception apparatus including a first acquisition unit which acquires, preceding text format second signaling data to be transmitted in a lower-level layer than an IP layer in a hierarchy of a protocol of an IP transmission system and containing control information independent of a service identified by an IP address, binary format first signaling data containing a flag indicating whether the second signaling data exists in digital broadcast using the IP transmission system, a second acquisition unit which acquires the second signaling data on the basis of the first signaling data, and a control unit which controls operation of the units which perform various types of processing on the basis of the second signaling data. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a television receiver.

Abstract: The present technology relates a television apparatus that comprises circuitry configured to receive a digital broadcast signal, extract a packet including content included in the digital broadcast signal, extract time information included in a preamble of a physical layer frame, and send the time information and the packet including the content to other circuitry in the television apparatus. The television apparatus includes a transmission interface configured to interconnect the circuitry and the other circuitry. The television apparatus is further configured to process signaling that includes the time information that is comprised in the preamble of the physical layer frame in the digital broadcast signal.

Abstract: In group-wise interleaving, interleaving of an LDPC code having a code length N of 64800 bits and an encoding rate r of 5/15 is performed in a unit of a bit group of 360 bits. In group-wise deinterleaving, an arrangement of the LDPC code that has undergone group-wise interleaving is returned to an original arrangement. The technology can be applied to a case of transmitting data using the LDPC code. The data processing device and data processing method can ensure excellent communication quality in data transmission using an LDPC code.
