Abstract: A first transistor, a second transistor, a third transistor, a fourth transistor are provided. In the first transistor, a first terminal is electrically connected to a first wiring; a second terminal is electrically connected to a gate terminal of the second transistor; a gate terminal is electrically connected to a fifth wiring. In the second transistor, a first terminal is electrically connected to a third wiring; a second terminal is electrically connected to a sixth wiring. In the third transistor, a first terminal is electrically connected to a second wiring; a second terminal is electrically connected to the gate terminal of the second transistor; a gate terminal is electrically connected to a fourth wiring. In the fourth transistor, a first terminal is electrically connected to the second wiring; a second terminal is electrically connected to the sixth wiring; a gate terminal is connected to the fourth wiring.

Abstract: A holographic display device and a display method thereof. The holographic display device comprises a backlight module and two liquid crystal modules. The backlight module is used for providing coherent light; the two liquid crystal modules are located on the light exit side of the backlight module, and the two liquid crystal modules are stacked; one of the two liquid crystal modules is used for performing amplitude modulation on incident light, and the other one is used for performing phase modulation on incident light. In this way, the complex amplitude of exit light is adjusted, and the quality of a reconstructed image is improved.

Abstract: The liquid crystal display device includes an edge backlight including a transparent light guide plate and light-emitting elements of multiple colors that are disposed such that the light-emitting elements of multiple colors are adjacent to each other, a dimming liquid crystal layer that is disposed such that the dimming liquid crystal layer overlaps at least an end portion of the transparent light guide plate that faces the light-emitting elements of multiple colors in a plan view and that has a degree of haze that increases or decreases by applying a voltage, and a transmissive liquid crystal display panel that includes pixels. With the backlight on, the dimming liquid crystal layer is in a diffusion state, and the liquid crystal display panel performs the color display. With the backlight off, the dimming liquid crystal layer is in a transmission state, and the liquid crystal display panel performs the transparent display.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a light source unit that emits color light beams having different wavelengths; a light intensity modulation element including pixels, and subjecting the color light beams to intensity modulation to generate an image; a diffraction element configured to simultaneously illuminate at least two pixel regions at different pixel positions, with different color light beams, by diffracting the respective color light beams from the light source unit toward pixel regions at different pixel positions on the light intensity modulation element; and a control unit that changes diffraction angles of the respective color light beams in the diffraction element within a predetermined period. The control unit also sequentially switches illumination regions for the pixel regions by the respective color light beams, to allow all of the color light beams to time-divisionally illuminate any pixel region of the pixel regions within the predetermined period.

Abstract: A display may include illumination optics, a ferroelectric liquid crystal on silicon (fLCOS) panel, and a waveguide. The illumination optics may include a red, green, and blue light sources. The fLCOS panel may produce image light by modulating a series of image frames onto illumination light. Control circuitry may control the illumination optics to produce the illumination light for each image frame in the series of image frames according to a green-heavy illumination sequence that includes first, second, and third time periods. The green light source may be active during each of the first, second, and third time periods. This may allow the green light source to be driven with a lower current density than the other light sources without significantly reducing image quality at an eye box. The lower current density may match the peak efficiency of the green light source, thereby minimizing power consumption by the display.
