    摘要: A sifter for separating coarse particles from a particle-carrying stream during the manufacture of wood fiber panels has a housing forming a chamber. The housing also has a material inlet for admitting the particle-carrying stream to the chamber, a front wall formed with an upper air inlet below the material inlet for admitting a respective upper air stream to the chamber and a lower air inlet below the upper inlet for admitting a respective lower air stream to the chamber, an exhaust-air outlet for conveying air and fine particles from the chamber, and a coarse-particle outlet for conveying coarse particles out of the chamber. The front wall of the housing has between the upper air inlet and the lower air inlet a portion with an inwardly concavely curved shape that forms a support vortex that supports the upper air stream entering through the upper feed air inlet in the chamber of the housing between the upper air inlet and the lower air inlet.

    摘要: An aluminum can cleaning system for separating magnetic materials and other debris from aggregate comprising aluminum cans comprises a conveyor having a magnet to cause the conveyor to retain a magnetic portion of the aggregate along a portion of the conveyor to separate the magnetic portion from a non-magnetic portion of the aggregate. The conveyor discharges the non-magnetic portion into an intake chute. An air duct has a first end in fluid communication with a lower end of the intake chute. A blower is configured to provide air flow from the intake chute into the air duct to carry the non-magnetic portion along the air duct. A channel is in fluid communication with a second end of the air duct. A screen is positioned along the channel to separate debris from aluminum cans and to direct the aluminum cans into a bin disposed proximate an opening in the channel.

    摘要: A static classifier cage is formed in upper and lower tiers of circumferentially spaced bar-shaped vanes of wear-resistant material. The lower tier is formed by and between a bottom ring and an intermediate ring. The top tier is formed by and between the intermediate ring and a topmost ring. In each tier, the lowermost ring is provided with slots to receive and act as a seat for the vertically oriented vanes while the upper ring in the tier is provided with radially outwardly opening notches into which the vanes are moved in a radial fashion. After the vanes are installed, a retainer is fastened into position to prevent the vanes from backing out of the notches.
