    摘要： A mold comprising a first mold element and a second mold element releasingly engagable between an open position and a closed position to define a mold cavity in the closed position and a first part line between the first mold element and second mold element. The first mold element comprises a first mold portion and a second mold portion configured to be reversible separable with respect to one another to define a second part line therebetween disposed interiorly with respect to a periphery of the first part line. At least one vent is disposed in the second part line. In one embodiment, the at least one vent comprises a passageway configured to permit mold material in the mold cavity to enter but not to exit the passageway to cause at least partial curing of the mold material in the passageway.

    摘要： A mold, a molding machine, and a foamed molded body manufacturing method are provided that are capable of more reliably preventing ingress of foamed resin into a gas discharge hole using a gas-impermeable member and capable of adequately discharging gas inside the cavity to the cavity outside through the gas discharge hole during foam molding, and that are also capable of achieving good design characteristics in a foamed molded body. A gas discharge hole 5 is provided at a cavity 4 inner face of a mold 1 and discharges gas inside the cavity 4 to outside the cavity 4. A gas-permeable member 6 is disposed inside the cavity 4 of the mold 1 so as to cover the gas discharge hole 5, and a gas-impermeable member 8 is disposed on the gas discharge hole 5 side of the gas-permeable member 6 so as to face the gas discharge hole 5. A portion of the gas discharge hole 5, spanning at least from axial direction intermediate portion of the gas discharge hole 5 to the cavity 4 side of the gas discharge hole 5, is configured with a tapered profile portion 5a that increases in diameter on progression toward the cavity 4 side.

Wings extend from respective longitudinal edges of the base and define discrete corrugations extending in a series along the fastener strip and forming corresponding undulations in the rear face of the strip along its longitudinal edges. The corrugated wings can also support a foam gasket.

    摘要： The invention relates mold, particularly a mold for producing foam articles. In a preferred embodiment, the mold comprises a lid and a bowl releasingly engageable to define a mold cavity, the lid comprising: (i) a vent having a passageway for gas to escape from the mold cavity, and (ii) a plurality of grooves connected to the vent. The use of a plurality of grooves/slots in the mold cavity surface effectively acts as a siphon to draw gas away from the composition to be molded. The plurality of grooves/slots is connected to one or more vents which then allows for escape of the gas from the mold cavity to the exterior of the mold.

    摘要： A composite article is formed with a reaction-injection mold (RIM) foam layer between a substrate and a flexible skin in a RIM tool having at least one inflatable seal defining an edge of the foam layer. The RIM tool is clamped in a fully closed position. A reactive mixture is injected into a space between the substrate and skin with the inflatable seal being deflated. The inflatable seal is inflated to close off the edge when the reactive mixture approaches the edge. Inflation of the inflatable seal and clamping at the fully closed position are maintained for a gel time of the reactive mixture. After the gel time, the inflatable seal is deflated to vent at least a portion of gas produced by the reaction while maintaining the clamping at the fully closed position for a curing time of the reactive mixture.
