    摘要： A hammer or other hand tool has a head to which is attached a handle. The handle has a plurality of spring steel rods extending substantially the length of the handle and extending into the head where the rods are affixed by a plate. Spacer plates with holes are positioned at spaced locations along the rods. The rods and spacer plates are encased in a rubber material that forms the outer surface of the handle. The rods and spacer plates at the end of the handle form a reinforced lanyard hole. A collar is formed on the handle adjacent the head. The head of the hammer has angled deflecting pads adjacent the striking faces. A raised rim on the head opposite the handle forms a stand surface to enable the barrel shaped head to stand with the handle projecting upwardly.

The fiber reinforced polymer composite article is formed of by using pre-impregnated fiberglass rovings or fibers encapsulated in a thermoplastic capstock that are pultruded through one or more dies and coated with a veil material. The veil material includes a pattern that, when applied to the fibrous layer can create the appearance of wood or simulate other materials. The veil layer is then coated with a transparent or substantially transparent capstock by means of extrusion to produce the fiber reinforced polymer composite article.

    摘要： A pair of snips including first and second, opposed, elongated members, each member comprising a jaw at a front end portion thereof, a handle at a rear end portion thereof, and a midportion where the members cross over each other. A pivot unites the midportions for scissor-like movement of the handles and jaws about the pivot. The snips also includes a gripper biasely connected to the handle of one of the members to retain a portion of a workpiece severed by the snips. The first member includes a metal plate having a forwardly extending blade which comprises one of the jaws and a rearwardly extending tang. According to the invention, at least the handle of the first member and gripper are made of a moldable material molded onto the metal plate, such that the handle of the first member is molded onto the tang of the metal plate and the gripper is integral with the first member and molded onto an outer surface of the plate. The moldable material is most preferably a plastic, but other moldable substances could be employed.
