摘要: The vehicle includes a vehicle body having a steering section and a drive section connected together; a steerable wheel which steers the vehicle body; a drive wheel which drives the vehicle body; an inclination actuator apparatus for inclining the steering section or the drive section in a turning direction; a plurality of sensors which detect lateral accelerations; yaw angular velocity detection means; vehicle speed detection means; and a control apparatus which controls the inclination of the vehicle body by controlling the inclination actuator apparatus. The control apparatus performs feedback control on the basis of the lateral accelerations, calculates a link angular velocity predicted value from the derivative value of the yaw angular velocity and the vehicle speed, and controls the inclination of the vehicle body by performing feedforward control while using the calculated link angular velocity predicted value.

摘要: A vehicle-behavior detecting apparatus including a first-yaw-moment calculating unit, a second-yaw-moment calculating unit, and an indication-value calculating unit. Based on a linear bicycle model, the first-yaw-moment calculating unit calculates a first-yaw-moment during constant-speed turning. The second-yaw-moment calculating unit reads the longitudinal acceleration detected by an acceleration sensor in addition to the parameters read in the first-yaw-moment calculating unit, and calculates a second yaw moment during acceleration or deceleration. The indication-value calculating unit calculates a variation value in the yaw moment showing the vehicle behavior from the difference between the first yaw moment during constant-speed turning and the second yaw moment during accelerated or decelerated turning. The variation in the yaw moment due to the vehicle-load shift during accelerated or decelerated turning is compensated for by the variation value.

摘要: A vehicle stabilizer system, including: a stabilizer device and a switching mechanism to switch a roll suppressing function by a stabilizer bar between an effective state in which the roll suppressing function is rendered effective and an ineffective state in which the roll suppressing function is rendered ineffective; and a controller configured to determine whether a lateral acceleration of a vehicle body is greater than a threshold lateral acceleration and control the switching mechanism to render the roll suppressing function effective when the lateral acceleration is greater than the threshold lateral acceleration and ineffective when the lateral acceleration is not greater than the threshold lateral acceleration, wherein the controller employs, as a determination lateral acceleration for determining whether the lateral acceleration is greater than the threshold lateral acceleration, a smaller one of an actual lateral acceleration and an estimated lateral acceleration estimated based on a turning degree of the vehicle.

摘要: In a method for estimating the height of the center of gravity of a vehicle, a lateral acceleration is determined. Predefined first and second driving situation are detected at a first time as a function of a determined roll rate or of a determined roll angle and at a second time as a function of the roll rate or of the roll angle. In a time period delimited by the first and second times, a differential angle by which a vehicle body tilts during the time period is determined. Also determined are an angular speed: formula and an angular acceleration: formula of the vehicle tilting movement in the time period. A height of the center of gravity of the vehicle is estimated on the basis of an equation of motion as a function of the lateral acceleration, of the differential angle, of the angular speed: formula and of the angular acceleration: formula.

摘要: A method and an apparatus determine the frequency or the period of the natural characteristic oscillation of a vehicle, and therefrom determine the mass of the vehicle and provide a warning if a dangerous oscillation condition exists which could lead to a tipping or rollover of the vehicle. The evaluation is carried out while the vehicle is driving. The apparatus includes a sensor such as a rotation rate sensor, a timer, an evaluating unit, and a warning unit. The method involves measuring the time interval between two characteristic features of the oscillation measured by the sensor, such as zero crossings, minimum points or maximum points of the angular velocity of the oscillation, and then calculating the period and/or the frequency of the oscillation from the measured time interval. Then the moment of inertia and/or the mass of the vehicle can be determined from the period or frequency. Also, if the period or frequency is out of a safe range, a warning is triggered to indicate to the driver of the vehicle that a rollover danger exists.
