    摘要: An automobile weather strip includes an extrusion-molded portion and a die-molded portion. The die-molded portion includes: a mount base to be mounted on the periphery of the door; and a hollow seal integrally molded with the mount base and coming into elastic contact with the circumferential edge of a vehicle body opening. The mount base includes a bottom in the shape of a plate. The bottom has a core removal slit for removing a core, and the core removal slit extends in a longitudinal direction of the die-molded portion. The core removal slit has a length set shorter than the length of the core in the same direction. The bottom includes a thick-walled portion at a portion adjacent to an edge of the core removal slit. The thick-walled portion is thicker than the other portions of the bottom.

    摘要: An attachment system connects an object such as a windshield to a vehicle pillar. The attachment system includes a front extrusion connectable to the vehicle pillar and including a connecting member, and a mating extrusion connectable to the vehicle pillar and including a coupling member cooperable with the connecting member. A pocket is machined into one of the front extrusion and the mating extrusion, and a latch is coupled with the other of the front extrusion and the mating extrusion. The front extrusion and the mating extrusion are connectable in an unlocked position and a locked position, wherein in the unlocked position, the connecting member is engaged with the coupling member with the latch displaced from the pocket, and in the locked position, the connecting member is engaged with the coupling member with the latch in alignment and engaged with the pocket.

    摘要: According to an attaching structure of a roof side weather strip, a retainer includes a vehicle upper side wall, a connecting part, and an inboard side wall. A first tip locking part, formed in a tip of the vehicle upper side wall, is engaged in a tip locking groove, formed in a tip of a vehicle upper side wall of the weather strip. The vehicle upper side wall of the weather strip is held by the vehicle upper side wall of the retainer The inboard side wall of the retainer is allowed to abut on an inboard side wall of the weather strip, and a tip of a second tip locking part formed by bending the tip obliquely in the inboard direction is engaged in the engaging groove, so that the inboard side wall of the weather strip is held by the inboard side wall of the retainer.

    摘要: A vehicle glass run system includes an inner panel that is coupled to a ring frame. The inner panel, as coupled to the ring frame, defines an assembly. The inner panel exhibits a first tolerance, wherein the assembly of the inner panel and ring frame exhibits a second tolerance. The second tolerance is greater than the first tolerance. Both the inner panel and ring frame include flange portions which are coupled together, and both include a distal end. The distal end of the inner panel is disposed outboard of the distal end of the ring frame. A glass run reinforcement member is located to the distal end of the inner panel in assembly, such that the glass run reinforcement member is subject only to the first tolerance of the inner panel.
