摘要: The present disclosure relates to a fuel tank having a module pot, which forms a first separate fuel reservoir for a fuel pump arranged inside the fuel tank. To prevent a gap in delivery of fuel to supply the first fuel reservoir in certain operating conditions, in particular when there is persistent lateral acceleration, according to the invention, a second separate fuel reservoir arranged separately from the first fuel reservoir inside the fuel tank is proposed, such that fuel is transferred from the second fuel reservoir into the first fuel reservoir at least when a predetermined acceleration level acting on the fuel tank is exceeded.

摘要: A fuel tank system constructed in accordance to one example of the present disclosure includes a fuel tank, a first vent tube, an evaporative emissions control system and a cam driven tank venting control assembly. The first vent tube is disposed in the fuel tank. The evaporative emissions control system is configured to recapture and recycle emitted fuel vapor. The evaporative emissions control system has a controller. The cam driven tank venting control assembly has a rotary actuator that rotates a cam assembly based on operating conditions. The cam assembly has at least a first cam having a first cam profile configured to selectively open and close the first vent tube based on operating conditions.

摘要: A fuel feeding system for a vehicle may include a fuel tank and a subsidiary jet pump. The fuel tank is divided into a first portion in which a reservoir is installed and a second portion in which the subsidiary jet pump is installed. The subsidiary jet pump pumps out fuel pressurized by a fuel pump and causes the fuel in the second portion of the fuel tank to enter the reservoir using a pressure difference generated during pumping of the fuel. The subsidiary jet pump includes a nozzle unit and a diffuser unit. The diffuser unit surrounds an injection portion of the nozzle unit with a suction channel disposed therebetween. The suction channel has a suction hole and a discharge hole and is structured to cause fuel suctioned through the suction hole and fuel discharged through the discharge hole to flow in the same direction.

摘要: A fuel supply system for a vehicle having an internal combustion engine and a fuel tank, has a reservoir, a fuel pump, a suction filter, a fuel transfer and a pressure accumulator. The reservoir is located in the fuel tank and is hermetically sealed. The fuel pump is configured to suck fuel from the reservoir and to supply the fuel to the internal combustion engine. The suction filter is configured to filter the fuel sucked by the fuel pump. The fuel transfer is configured to transfer the fuel from the fuel tank into the reservoir and to pressurize the fuel in the reservoir. The pressure accumulator is connected to the reservoir in order to control a pressure of the fuel in the reservoir.

摘要: A valve assembly includes a housing defining first, second, third, and fourth passages. The first passage channels relatively-high pressure fluid and the second passage channels relatively-low pressure fluid into the valve. The third passage connects to the second passage and releases fluid from the valve. The fourth passage connects to the first passage and the second passage and releases fluid from the valve. The valve assembly also includes a first check-valve that permits fluid flow from the second passage to the third passage and a second check-valve that permits fluid flow from the second passage to the fourth passage. The valve assembly additionally includes a nozzle that controls velocity of the relatively-high pressure fluid entering the fourth passage from the first passage. The relatively-low pressure fluid is pulled from the second passage into the fourth passage on the outer periphery of the nozzle by the relatively-high pressure fluid.

The jet pump is disposed within the active side and is configured to maintain a fuel level above a first threshold, based on each of the indicators, on the active side by siphoning fuel from the passive side during operation in a combustion mode. The controller is configured to, in response a battery charge level being below a second threshold during operation in an electric mode and a detected hill climb via a route guidance system, activate the jet pump to siphon fuel such that a fuel level within the active side rises above the first threshold.

摘要: An evaporative emissions control system includes a first vent valve configured to selectively open and close a first vent, a second vent valve configured to selectively open and close a second vent, a fuel level sensor configured to sense a fuel level in the fuel tank, a pressure sensor configured to sense a pressure in the fuel tank, an accelerometer configured to measure an acceleration of the vehicle, and a controller configured to regulate operation of the first and second vent valves to provide pressure relief for the fuel tank. The controller is programmed to determine if a refueling event is occurring based one signals indicating the fuel level is increasing, the pressure in the fuel tank is increasing, and the vehicle is not moving, and open at least one of the first and second vent valves based on determining the refueling event is occurring.
