摘要： Embodiments of product handling systems facilitate transfer of individual product items from incoming bulk form into dedicated trays for inspection, sorting, selection, and packaging. Inspection may comprise interrogation of product items within a tray by electromagnetic (e.g., optical, hyperspectral) or other (e.g., physical, acoustic, gas sensing, etc.) techniques. Prior to packaging, product items disposed within the tray may be stored in a moveable carousel responsible for controlling environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, illumination, ambient gases, product-to-product interactions, and/or others. Movement of product items from a carousel's transfer station to an outside staging position may be accomplished using robots and/or conveyor belts. Embodiments may allow rapid, low-cost consumer selection of specific individual product items based upon their accompanying metadata (e.g., source, identifier), in combination with the results of inspection (e.g., visual appearance). Embodiments may receive product items pre-packaged in tray format to expedite inspection, sorting, selection, and packaging.

摘要： The invention concerns an apparatus for automatically placing a scoop in a container, where the apparatus comprises a scoop supply unit adapted to supply scoops to a release position of the scoop supply unit in a hanging manner, a first gripping device configured to grip an individual scoop at the release position of the supply unit and to move the scoop to a delivery position where the scoop is released from the gripping device in order to place the scoop in a container, where the supply unit comprises two sets of reciprocating holding fingers adapted to release one scoop at a time in the release position, where the gripping device comprises two gripping fingers having a semi-circular shape corresponding to the shape of the scoop, such that the inner sides of the gripping fingers bears on the rim of the scoop. The invention also concerns a method for automatically placing a scoop in a container. The advantage of the inventive apparatus is that one scoop at the time can be picked up and placed in a container in a secure way.

Each of the printers has a tray upon which the printed material is deposited from the printer. A robotic arm is disposed proximal to the conveyor and the printers. The robotic arm has an end of arm tool configured to pick the printed material from the tray of each printer. A controller is operatively connected to the printers and the robotic arm. The controller is configured to send one or more print instructions to one or more of the printers to print the printed material. The controller is configured to instruct the robotic arm to place the printed material from the tray into the container.

摘要： An apparatus for dispensing solid articles includes a housing and a gate system. The housing defines a dispensing channel and a portal through which articles can flow along a dispensing pathway. The gate system includes a gate member positioned in the dispensing pathway. The gate member is selectively positionable between an open position and a closed position. When the gate member is in the open position, the gate member permits the articles to pass through the portal and, when the gate member is in the closed position, the gate member blocks the articles from passing through the portal. The gate system is configured such that the gate member is passively transitionable between the open and closed positions.
