摘要: An apparatus for producing hydrogen using a retrofitted steam methane reformer (SMR) via ammonia cracking is provided. The apparatus can include: means for providing a pressurized and gaseous ammonia stream to a plurality of reactor tubes; a furnace having the plurality of reactor tubes and a plurality of burners, wherein the furnace is configured to catalytically crack the ammonia within the reactor tubes to produce a crude process gas and a flue gas; a plurality of waste heat recovery sections; and a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) unit disposed downstream the furnace, wherein the PSA unit is configured to receive the crude process gas, or a gas derived therefrom, and produce a hydrogen product stream and a PSA offgas.

摘要: An ammonia decomposition system includes: a reactor filled with a catalyst for a decomposition reaction where ammonia which is a raw material is decomposed into hydrogen and nitrogen; and a diluent gas supply line for supplying a diluent gas having a lower ammonia concentration than the raw material, such that the diluent gas is mixed with the raw material before the raw material flows into the catalyst. The reactor has an inner surface covered with a refractory material, and the catalyst is filled on a side opposite to the inner surface across the refractory material. The diluent gas supply line is provided with a temperature raising device for raising a temperature of the diluent gas.

摘要: Provided are a hydrogen recycle system and a hydrogen recycle method, whereby hydrogen can be purified to high purity at high yield from a gas, said gas being exhausted from a nitride compound production device, and recycled. The hydrogen recycle system 1 comprises an exhaust gas supply path 11 supplying a gas exhausted from a nitride compound production device 2, a hydrogen recycle means 10 and a hydrogen supply path 12. The hydrogen recycle means 10 of the hydrogen recycle system 1 is characterized by comprising: a plasma reaction vessel 31 that defines at least a part of a discharge space 32; a hydrogen separation membrane 34 that divides the discharge space 32 from a hydrogen flow path 33 communicated with the hydrogen supply path 12, defines at least a part of the discharge space 32 by one surface thereof and also defines at least a part of the hydrogen flow path 33 by the other surface thereof; an electrode 35 that is disposed outside the discharge space 32; and an adsorbent 36 that is filled in the discharge space 32 and adsorbs the supplied exhaust gas.

The method of manufacturing may comprise (a) subjecting a catalyst support to one or more physical or chemical processes to improve one or more pores, morphologies, and/or surface chemistry or property of the catalyst support; (b) depositing a composite support material on the catalyst support, wherein the composite support material comprises a morphology or surface chemistry or property; and (c) depositing one or more active metals on at least one of the composite support material and the catalyst support, wherein the one or more active metals comprise one or more nanoparticles configured to conform to the morphology of the composite support material and/or catalyst support material, thereby improving one or more active sites on the nanoparticles for ammonia processing.
