Abstract: The invention is a system and method for transforming food waste into a commercial cleaning product. The system is containable in an enclosed facility and installable in urban environments. Food waste is sorted and ground into uniformly sized particles, heated to an acceleration temperature, inoculated with an inoculant including lactic acid bacteria, which is mixed into the ground waste. The waste then undergoes sedentary fermentation for times as short as 24 hours or less. The fermented waste is separated into liquids and solids, and liquids are further separated into at least one distillation stream. Solids are dried to obtain a second distillation stream.

Abstract: An enhanced biofertilizer production implementation may comprise iteratively drying, curing and turning manure composting in a windrow lane until at least one predetermined criteria is satisfied to produce unamended compost, identifying and isolating a biologically active microorganism in the unamended compost, amplifying the isolated microorganism, adding the amplified isolated microorganism to the unamended compost to produce inoculated compost and mixing the inoculated compost with biosolids or other fertilizer ingredients with biosolids to impregnate and produce enhanced biofertilizer.

Abstract: The present invention is related to an anaerobic photobioreactor and a method for active biomass cultivation, wastewater treatment, nutrients recovery, energy production and high-value products synthesis. Phototrophic bacteria are cultured in the anaerobic photobioreactor lighted with solar or artificial irradiation where certain light wavelengths are selectively discarded with a light selector installed on the top of the photobioreactor. In this light-based process wastewater treatment and resources recovery, like nutrients and high-value bioproducts (fertilizers, polymers and proteins) present in wastewater are performed simultaneously. Cultured biomass is treated by anaerobic digestion for biofuel production, including optative hydrolytic pre-treatment, and/or valuable bioproducts can be obtained in a downstream process.
