摘要: The invention is a system and method for transforming food waste into a commercial cleaning product. The system is containable in an enclosed facility and installable in urban environments. Food waste is sorted and ground into uniformly sized particles, heated to an acceleration temperature, inoculated with an inoculant including lactic acid bacteria, which is mixed into the ground waste. The waste then undergoes sedentary fermentation for times as short as 24 hours or less. The fermented waste is separated into liquids and solids, and liquids are further separated into at least one distillation stream. Solids are dried to obtain a second distillation stream.

摘要: A system and method for the production of microbial consortiums and by-product material is provided. A physical containment system comprising phase spaces arranged in a discrete order to favor specific biological reactions is also provided. Phase profiles and phase data sets include the pre-determined physical and biological parameters for the phase space transitions. Movement of material from one phase to the next is hydraulically balanced enabling working fluid to continuously move in a fixed direction and rate of flow. Continuous monitoring of phase profiles and phase data sets provide feedback to the system enabling alteration of the conditions in the system to control reactions therein.

摘要: A method of composting human remains to produce a composting material. Human remains are placed into a vessel. A bulking agent mixture can be placed with the human remains in the vessel. The method also includes placing a compost solution in the vessel to accelerate the composting of the human remains. A system used in the process for composting human remains includes a vessel for receiving the human remains, a bulking agent mixture, and a compost solution. The system includes at least one opening in a lower part of the vessel for receiving a stream of air. The system also includes a lid for closing the human remains, the bulking agent mixture, and the compost solution in the vessel. Further, the system includes an outlet disposed in the vessel to permit the air from the at least one opening and unpleasant odors created in the vessel to be withdrawn from the vessel.

摘要: A method for improved anaerobic digestion is presented. The method includes mixing a volume of waste material with water to form a feedstock mixture. The volume of waste material includes an initial amount of biomass and the feedstock mixture includes methanogenic bacteria either naturally present in the waste material or introduced artificially. The method also includes introducing one or more promoter substances to the feedstock mixture. The one or more promoter substances are capable of modifying the methanogenic bacteria. Modifying includes stimulating novel enzyme production in the methanogenic bacteria.
