    摘要: There is desribed a novel process for preparing interpolymers comprising ethylene and at least two monomer units selected from heteroatom substituted olefin monomer units derived from a compound of the formula XV wherein E and G represent the same or different heteroatoms selected from oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur, which are bound to a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbyl group, or a substituted hydrocarbyl group, or are joined by a linking group; and n is 0 or an integer from 1-20; or 2,3-dihydrofuran, or vinylcyclopropane, and interpolymers prepared thereby, including novel interpolymers having melting peak temperatures (Tm) equal to or greater than 50° C.

C., an isotactic block length from 25 to 150, and ether extractables less than 2% by weight, based on the total weight of the polymer.

    摘要: An .alpha.-olefin-alkenylsilane copolymer having steric regularity in which the side chains in the .alpha.-olefin unit substantially have the steric regularity, the content of alkenylsilane units is from 0.01 to 50% by weight, and the intrinsic viscosity measured in a tetralin solution at 135.degree. C. is 0.01 or higher. A method for preparing the above copolymer comprises the step of copolymerizing an .alpha.-olefin having 3 to 25 carbon atoms with an alkenylsilane in the presence of a catalyst comprising an aluminoxane and a transition metal compound containing a cyclopentadiene group or its derivative as a ligand.

    摘要: The present invention provides a phase retarder made of a copolymer prepared by polymerizing one non-cyclic olefin monomer (A) selected from ethylene and &agr;-olefin compound having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, one cyclic olefin monomer (B) selected from cyclic olefin compound such as norbornene, and one cyclic vinyl monomer (C) selected from vinyl compound having a cyclic unit made of an aromatic hydrocarbon or an alicyclic hydrocarbon such as styrene or vinylcyclohexane; wherein (1) an amount of the aromatic vinyl monomer is from about 1 to about 20 mol % and a total amount of the non-cyclic olefin monomer (A) and the cyclic olefin monomer (B) is from about 80 to about 99 mol % in case the component (C) is the aromatic vinyl monomer, or (2) an amount of the alicyclic vinyl monomer is from about 80 to about 99 mol % and a total amount of the non-cyclic olefin monomer and the cyclic olefin monomer is from about 1 to about 20 mol % in case the component (C) is the alicyclic vinyl monomer. The present phase retarder makes it possible to conduct uniform polarizing conversion within a wide wavelength range using a single plate.

    摘要: A random copolymer consisting essentially of 40 to 90 mole% of propylene and 60 to 10 mole% of 1-butene, and having (A) a boiling n-heptane-insoluble content of not more than 5% by weight based on the weight of the copolymer, (B) a boiling methyl acetate-soluble content of not more than 2% by weight based on the weight of the copolymer, (C) a melting point, determined by differential thermal analysis, of 40 to 140.degree. C., (D) an intrinsic viscosity, determined in decalin at 135.degree. C., of 0.5 to 6 dl/g, (E) an elongation at break, measured by JIS K6301, of at least 300%, (F) a tensile strength at break, measured by JIS K6301, of at least 50 kg/cm.sup.2, and (G) a haze, measured by JIS K6714, of not more than 40%.The above copolymer has superior properties for production of various kinds of melt-shaped articles such as films, sheets, vessels and tubes, and can be obtained by copolymerizing propylene and 1-butene in the presence of a catalyst prepared from a solid complex containing magnesium, titanium and halogen, an organometal compound of a metal of Groups I to III of the periodic table, and an electron donor.
