    摘要: An electrically conductive flexible polyurethane foam including a polyurethane and at least one conductive filler dispersed therein in an amount effective to provide EMI/RFI shielding, wherein the polyurethane comprises an isocyanate component to active hydrogen component in a ratio of at most about 0.20:1. Preferably, the foam has compression deflection value at 50% compression of at most about 25 psi, a foam density of at most 0.95 g/cm3 and/or noise shielding effectiveness at a frequency of about 20 to about 1000 MHz of at least about 10 dB.

    摘要: The present invention relates to polyurethane foam materials with sound insulating and vibration damping properties. They are obtainable by reacting a polyisocyanate or polyisocyanate prepolymers with an excess of polyols or a mixture thereof while maintaining an NCO index of .ltoreq.80, in particular .ltoreq.70 and as a result they have an adhesive (frictional) surface and are further characterized by a density of 80 to 250 kg/m.sup.3, a modulus of elasticity less than 300 OOO N/m.sup.2 and a loss factor of at least 0.4. The production is preferably done by adding the reaction components (polyol system on the one hand and polyisocyanate system on the other) to the mixture head of an RIM machine. The polyurethane soft foam materials with an adhesive surface according to the invention are particularly suitable for use as vibration damping sound insulation systems in automobiles.

    摘要: Process for preparing a polyurethane foam, according to the free rise process, the foam having a free rise density of 5-40 kg/m3, comprising reacting at an index of 40-80 a polyisocyanate composition consisting of diphenylmethane diisocyanate and of homologues of diphenylmethane diisocyanate, said homologues having an isocyanate functionality of 3 or more, and wherein the polyisocyanate composition has an average isocyanate functionality of 2.10-2.40 and a 2,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate content of 6-45% by weight with the proviso that the relationship between this functionality (F) and content (C) is: −123F+287≦C≦−123F+311, and a polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene polyol (polyol b1) having an oxyethylene content of 5-30% by weight, a nominal functionality of 2-4 and an average equivalent weight of 1000-3000, and comprising using 5-20 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of polyol b1, of water as blowing agent, an effective amount of a catalyst enhancing urethane formation, and an effective amount of a surfactant.Foams are claimed as well. The foams show good sound absorption and/or sound insulation.

    摘要: Economical, open-celled packaging foams of better quality than foams from commercial aromatic polyester polyols may be prepared with a novel polyol blend. The most important component in the polyol blend is an aromatic polyester polyol made from dibasic acid waste streams and recycled polyethylene terephthalate. This type of polyol made from waste or recycled reactant streams is economical to make and serves as an inexpensive substitute for a portion of more expensive amino polyols normally used.
