摘要: The present invention relates to a marine polyester yarn used in the anchoring of an oil prospecting ship for oil field development in the deep sea, in particular, a marine polyester yarn prepared by surface-treatment of a polyester fiber with an oil component, which has a work recovery or creep rate within the predetermined range in a cycling test according to the ASTM D885 method of the American Society for Testing and Materials, and a preparation method thereof. The marine polyester yarn of the present invention is a lightweight fiber rope, compared to the known wire ropes, and thus can be conveniently used. Simultaneously, it is excellent in terms of mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, and shape stability, thereby being used as a marine yarn for a long time.

摘要: The present invention relates to a hydrophobic additive for use with fabric, fiber, and film. One aspect of the present invention comprises a master batch composition for use in preparing a non-woven fabric in order to increase the hydrophobicity of the non-woven fabric. In one embodiment, the master batch composition includes a polymer and a lipid ester. The lipid ester comprises from 10 wt. % to 40 wt. % of the master batch. The fabric, when including the master batch composition, has a contact angle ranging from 100° to 125° when measured according to test method ASTM D2578.

摘要: A process for manufacturing robust, flexible sheet-like material, includes the steps of a) applying a waxy composition to the web to form a waxed web; b) leading the waxed web via at least one roller to a chiller; c) cooling the waxed web; and d) leading the waxed web to a collection station for collecting the waxed web for further processing. The waxy composition comprises about 10-60 wt-% of a waxy compound and about 90-40 wt-% of a diluent. The waxy compound is selected from the group consisting of A) monoesters of a polyhydric aliphatic alcohol and a fatty acid; B) diesters of a polyhydric aliphatic alcohol and a fatty acid; and C) mixtures of said monoesters and diesters. The coating forms a stable liquid mixture at a temperature between about 35° C. and about 100° C., has a liquefaction temperature of at least about 30° C., and has a contact angle with a flat surface of the substrate of less than about 35° when measured at a temperature of 60° C.

摘要: A method is provided for the application of a finishing layer to a textile support material. A water repellent or oil repellent layer, a so-called finishing layer, is applied to a textile support material selected from the group of fibers, tissues and fabrics. The water repellent or oil repellent finishing layer comprises at least two water repellent or oil repellent components wherein a first component comprises one or more dispersants and a second component comprises one or more dispersed phases or colloids, and wherein the dispersant and the dispersed phase are present in the gel state. Additionally, textile articles are proved having the novel water repellent or oil repellent finishing layer which are equal on a high level or even superior with respect to their functional properties to products prepared according to known finishing methods and at the same time allow a complete or partial substitution of the health and environmentally hazardous standard chemicals employed nowadays by novel compounds which have not been used to date.
