    摘要: Disclosed herein is an apparatus for extracting thermal energy from thermal expansion of a working medium in the apparatus. The apparatus includes a thermal expander, a compressor for compressing the working medium after the expansion, and a force modulation unit connecting the thermal expander to the compressor. The force modulation unit consists of two conversion gears that are connected by a lever system. The lever system can be dynamically controlled so that the non-constant force from thermal expansion is modulated into a substantially constant output force of the apparatus.

    摘要: A new kind of solid-liquid-solid cyclic phase change heat engine is presented with optional but highly recommended multiple cylinders aka multiple stages cascading powertrain. Unlike the traditional Rankine engine or Stirling engine, hereby the gaseous phase is prohibited, and the conventional turbine is abandoned too. Under the drive of heat flux, low expansion volume of the working Phase Change Material (PCM) replaces the high expansion volume of hot gas, and in compensation, high expansion pressure replaces the low expansion pressure of hot gas. Via the isolated transformation from PCM pressure to hydraulic oil pressure, plus fluidic AC-DC rectification, a standard hydraulic motor replaces the gas or steam turbine. Multi-cylinder cascading heat engine can linearly increase up efficiency close to the ideal Carnot efficiency. With this invention, heat-rechargeable melting salt thermal storage can efficiently power vehicles with competitive lightweight of thermo pack at middle temperature, challenging those fuel cell or lithium battery powered vehicles.

    摘要: A hydraulic motor for generating electricity with a water holding container with a conduit extending downwardly to a distribution valve assembly. A hydraulic shock valve assembly connected to a port in the conduit, adjacent to the distribution valve assembly, periodically imparts a shock to the water entering the distribution valve assembly with some water collected by a holding tank. The distribution valve assembly permits the water to go through to move a piston assembly. The moving valve member quickly moves from two end positions a spring loaded actuating mechanism that is unstable when the distal end of the valve rod reaches a predetermined position. The piston assembly also actuates as a wheel assembly that in turn drives an actuating valve assembly driving the hydraulic shock valve assembly and an electric generator that in turn powers a pump to bring water from the holding tank to the container.

    摘要: A double acting hydraulic pump and air motor therefor including means for controlling the inlet and exhaust of air to and from the opposite sides of the piston in the air cylinder. The pump has a stepped diameter housing including an upper pump cylinder defining an outlet chamber for liquid and a lower pump cylinder received within the upper pump cylinder and defining an inlet chamber for liquid. A pump piston reciprocates in the two cylinders and is slidably received in two axially spaced stationary packing sleeves having a resilient spacer sleeve interposed axially therebetween. The spacer sleeve is formed of metal sheet adapted to deflect resiliently under load. The upper end of the upper pump cylinder is received within a recess in the lower end of the air motor housing. A retainer plate connected to the lower end of the air motor housing is provided with an opening to allow passage of the upper end of the upper pump cylinder and a pair of radially extending ears thereon. The pump housing is rotatable about its own longitudinal axis to align or misalign the ears and the opening and retain the pump housing to or release it from the motor housing.
