    摘要: A drive device comprises at least one tubular linear motor (M1; M1′; M2) which has a cylindrical armature (20; 120) and a tubular stator (10) with a cylindrical magnetic yoke (11) and a through-hole (13) coaxial with the magnetic yoke (11). Electric drive coils (12; 112) are arranged in the magnetic yoke (11). The armature (20; 120) has a non-magnetic armature tube (21) in which permanent magnets (23) are arranged. The armature (20; 120) extends coaxially through the through-hole (13) and is mounted so as to be movable in its longitudinal direction relative to the stator (10). The drive device comprises linear ball bearings (15; 115), and the armature (20; 120) of the tubular linear motor (M1; M1′; M2) is mounted in the linear ball bearings (15; 115).

    摘要: A retainer includes two annular retaining plates combined with each other, and each having semispherical bulging portions arranged at predetermined intervals along a circumferential direction of the retainer. The semispherical bulging portions, which face each other, form a pocket having a ring-like shape, for retaining a ball. The pocket includes a ball non-contact portion formed in a ball facing surface of the pocket at a center portion in a pocket axial direction, the ball non-contact portion being defined by a recess extending in a pocket circumferential direction. The following relationship is set: A/(B+C)=0.70 to 0.90, where “A” represents a pocket circumferential length of the ball non-contact portion, “B” represents a diameter of the ball, and “C” represents a gap formed between the ball and the ball facing surface of the pocket.

Flange portions are formed on a radially inner side and a radially outer side of an axial end portion of the retainer so as to extend radially. Recessed grooves are formed in a region of the inner race and a region of the outer race corresponding to the respective flange portions so as to form labyrinths together with the flange portions. Inner side surfaces of the flange portions and axial end surfaces of the recessed grooves, which are opposed to the inner side surfaces of the flange portions, are inclined radially so as to generate a flow of lubricant.
