    摘要: A method is provided for controlling a friction clutch for connecting first and second rotatable axles in a vehicle, where the clutch includes a first friction part which is connected to the first axle, a second friction part which is connected to the second axle, a spring element which is adapted to bias the second friction part into engagement with the first friction part to connect the first and second axles, and an actuator including a movable actuator part which is engageable with the spring element, and adapted to move, upon being subjected to an actuation force from an actuator control system, towards a disengagement position, thereby deforming the spring element to disengage the second friction part from the first friction part to disconnect the first and second axles. The method includes subjecting the movable actuator part to a test force urging the movable actuator part towards the disengagement position, the test force being smaller than the actuation force, and subsequently or simultaneously to subjecting the movable actuator part to the test force, determining a position of the movable actuator part.

    摘要: A self-adjusting clutch (10) can include an automatic adjustment mechanism (20) for decreasing an axial dimension within a clutch pack (14). The adjustment can compensate for wear of the facing surfaces of interposed members located within the clutch pack (14), resulting from repeated engaging and disengaging under a clutch apply load within the clutch (10). The adjustment mechanism (20) can include a reaction plate (12) normally biased toward the clutch pack (14) by a plurality of first springs (22). The adjustment mechanism (20) can further include a plurality of pawls (24) supported for rotation by the reaction plate (12) and biased by a plurality of second springs (26) toward a locking position with respect to a ring member (36). The plurality of pawls (24) can lock the reaction plate (12) against axial movement in a direction of the clutch apply load during clutch actuation.

    摘要: Method for determining an adjustment parameter in a hydraulic actuator arrangement for a motor vehicle drivetrain. The actuator arrangement has a pump and a hydraulic cylinder. A pressure port of the pump is connected to a port of the hydraulic cylinder. The adjustment parameter is a function of the volume of the fluid that must be delivered by the pump in order to realize a predetermined operating point of the actuator arrangement. The operating point is defined by a value pair of an operating point rotational speed value of the pump and an operating point control value of the pump. The method has the steps: regulating the pump to the operating point rotational speed value such that the pump delivers a fluid volume flow rate corresponding to the operating point rotational speed value; and integrating the fluid volume flow rate over the time until a termination operating state of the actuator arrangement, in which the control value of the pump is less than or equal to the operating point control value.

    摘要: A vehicle driveline torque managing process provides a motor driven actuator that manages clamping forces exerted on a clutch pack and regulates a coupling of power between a driveshaft and one of the axles of a vehicle, based on clutch positions. The process derives coupling torque values by stepping a motor from a maximum clutch separation position through a series of clutch positions while recording a motor driven commanded torque value at each step, up to a maximum clutch compression position having a maximum commanded motor torque value. Then, each motor driven commanded torque value is converted into respective clutch force values as a function of clutch position, thereby relating each clutch torque to a clutch position based on conversion tables stored in a controller that are associated with physical factors that influence clutch torque for each of the respective clutch actuator positions.
