    摘要: A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display includes: preparing a lower mother substrate, where lower cells, each including a thin film transistor, are provided on the lower mother substrate, and a lower alignment layer is disposed on the lower cells; preparing an upper mother substrate, where upper cells corresponding to the lower cells are provided on the upper mother substrate, and an upper alignment layer is disposed on the upper cells; providing a mother substrate assembly by providing a liquid crystal mixture layer between the lower and upper mother substrates and combining the lower and upper mother substrates; providing a pretilt of the liquid crystals by applying a voltage to a voltage application unit of the lower mother substrate; and curing an alignment supporting agents in the liquid crystal mixture layer or the lower and upper alignment layers by irradiating light to a side of the mother substrate assembly.

    摘要: An improved photocathode and image intensifier tube are disclosed along with a method for making both the tube and photocathode. The disclosed photocathode and image intensifier tube have an active layer comprising two or more sublayers. The first sublayer has a first concentration of a group III-V semiconductor compound while the second sublayer has a second concentration of the group III-V semiconductor compound. The multilayer active layer is coupled to a window layer.

    摘要: A double layer having a hetero-junction interface for a storage electrode of an electro-optical camera device is produced by vacuum vapor deposition of n-conductive cadmium selenide or cadmium sulfo-selenide onto a n.sup.+ -conductive signal electrode layer comprised of tin oxide. The cadmium material to be vapor deposited is admixed with a small amount of a glass additive, such as boron oxide, the admixture sintered in vacuum and thereafter the cadmium material is vapor-deposited onto the signal electrode without spattering. The resultant hetero-junction is substantially free of metallic cadmium and such double layer is particularly useful in a Vidicon target.

    摘要: In a method of manufacturing a semiconductor/glass composite material, a glass substrate is covered partially by a covering layer, a semiconductor is connected by pressure and heat to the surface of the substrate not covered by the covering layer, and the semiconductor is then etched away by means of etch polishing to the thickness of the covering layer. The covering may be silicon dioxide, and may be applied to substrate by sputtering or by deposition from the gas phase. The etching solution is NH.sub.4 OH and H.sub.2 O.sub.2 in the ratio 700 to 1.The composite material may be used as a photocathode in an image converter or image intensifier tube.

These segments comprise glass beads secured together and to a surface of an insulating support plate, a conductive collector electrode coating is applied onto the support plate surface and glass bead segments and then the storage dielectric layer is applied thereover which has proper thickness so that the segments extend above the dielectric thereby providing collector areas for collecting secondary emitted electrons from the dielectric.
