    摘要: A method and an apparatus relating to an amplifier (e.g., an operational transconductance amplifier or OTA) are provided. The OTA includes a first node and a second node. The OTA further includes a differential transistor pair for receiving an input. The differential transistor pair is coupled to the first node and the second node. The OTA includes a pair of output nodes for outputting a response to the input. The response at the pair of output nodes includes a first frequency pole. A capacitive element is coupled between the first node and the second node. The response includes a second frequency pole based on the capacitive element. The second frequency pole is at a greater frequency than the first frequency pole.

    摘要: A small signal receiver includes a first current adjustment circuit connected between a first power supply voltage terminal and a first node to provide current in response to a self-bias signal, a self-biased differential amplifier connected between the first node and a second node to compare an input signal with a reference voltage, provide the self-bias signal to a self-biasing node and output an output signal through an output node, and a second current adjustment circuit connected between the second node and a second power supply voltage terminal to sink current at the second node in response to the self-bias signal. The self-biased differential amplifier includes a swing stabilizing block connected between an input node to which the input signal is applied and the self-biasing node to stabilize the input signal compared with the reference voltage.

    摘要: Amplifiers with improved efficiency and output power are described. In an exemplary design, an apparatus includes an amplifier having at least three transistors and at least two capacitors. The at least three transistors are coupled in a stack and receive and amplify an input signal and provide an output signal. The at least two capacitors include at least one capacitor coupled between the drain and source of an associated transistor for each of at least two transistors in the stack, e.g., at least one capacitor for each transistor in the stack except for the bottommost transistor in the stack. The at least two capacitors recycle energy from gate-to-source parasitic capacitors of the at least two transistors to the output signal, which improves efficiency and output power of the amplifier.
