    摘要: An embodiment of an equalizer includes a voltage-to-current converter and a current-to-voltage converter. The voltage-to-current converter is configured to convert a differential input voltage to a differential current, and includes a differential amplifier with a first transistor and a second transistor, and a first source degeneration circuit coupled between the first transistor and the second transistor. An embodiment of the first source degeneration circuit includes a first resonant circuit. The current-to-voltage converter is coupled to the voltage-to-current converter, and is configured to convert the differential current to a differential output voltage. The current-to-voltage converter includes a first inverter with a first feedback circuit and a second inverter coupled to the first inverter, which includes a second feedback circuit. An embodiment of the first feedback circuit includes a second resonant circuit, and an embodiment of the second feedback circuit includes a third resonant circuit.

The transmission equalizer creates plural equivalent transmission signals by branching the transmission signal; and includes plural signal paths that respectively give time delays different from each other to the equivalent transmission signals, and respectively multiplies the delayed transmission signals by tap coefficients. In addition, at least one pair of signal paths is set includes a variable delay circuit that can change the corresponding time delay to be given to the corresponding transmission signal.

    摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are presented for performing channel equalization comprising receiving a signal from a channel associated with inter-symbol interference, processing the received signal to effectively apply a plurality of linearly independent impulse responses to the received signal to produce a plurality of intermediate signals, scaling each of the intermediate signals by each of a plurality of multiplier factors to produce a plurality of scaled signals, and combining the scaled signals to produce a resulting signal corresponding to an equalized version of the received signal in order to reduce effects of inter-symbol interference. Processing of the received signal may comprise providing the received signal to an LCR network comprising a plurality of inductors and a plurality of capacitors and generating, as the intermediate signals, a plurality of inductor signals representing currents through the plurality of inductors and a plurality of capacitor signals representing voltages across the plurality of capacitors.

The device also includes a first passive equalizer having a first terminal coupled to a first one of a coupled port and an isolated port of the directional coupler. The first passive equalizer includes a resonator having a first inductor and a first capacitor, the resonator coupled between the first terminal and a second terminal of the first passive equalizer. The first passive equalizer also includes a first resistor and a second resistor serially connected between the first and the second terminals of the first passive equalizer, the first resistor connected to the second resistor at a first node. The first equalizer further includes a shunt network coupled between a reference terminal and the first node.

    摘要: An equalization circuit that allows particularly for lowpass filtering by transmission lines comprises a compensating equalizer controlled according to whether the edges between bits in the data waveform are early or late. Adjusting the equalization causes edges to appear in the same place, whereas if the adjustment is incorrect certain edges will be late and certain edges will be early depending on the history of “1”s and “0”s in the data stream. This is an effect of so-called intersymbol interference. The control mechanism includes circuits for recognizing patterns of “1”s and “0”s in the recent history of the data waveform whose occurrence is used to trigger the adjustment of the equalizer.
