摘要： A user of a wireless device, such as a mobile phone, can make purchases or obtain information via a network, such as the Internet, using both voice and non-verbal methods. Users can submit voice queries and receive non-verbal replies, submit non-verbal queries and receive voice replies, or perform similar operations that many the voice and data capabilities of modern mobile communication devices. The user may provide notification criteria indicating under what conditions a notification should be sent to the user's wireless device. When purchasing opportunities matching the selected notification criteria become available, the user is notified. The user can respond to the notification, and immediately take advantage of the purchasing opportunity if he so desires. Mixed-mode interactions can also be used by sellers to more advantageously control the marketing of distressed, time sensitive, or other merchandise/services.

The customer need not know the identity of the vendor beforehand, and the vendor may not know the identity of the customer before agreeing to discuss the service. Multiple local service providers may be contacted in parallel by a centralized server configured to connect the customer with the local service providers. The most qualified or most highly rated local service providers for the particular service may be identified and then contacted first. The customer may be put in touch with one or more vendors in a very short amount of time after submitting the request, e.g., within 90 seconds.

摘要： A method and system of collecting confidential data by means of initiating a bridge call with a caller and a vendor. The bridge call allows an interconnection between a merchant's Interactive Voice Response unit (IVR) and a vendor's Interactive Voice Response unit (IVR) without the need to loop the caller back to the merchant after the confidential data is collected. An Automatic Number Identification field is present on each call to identify the caller. A caller enters confidential data into a vendor's IVR using the telephone. Once the confidential data is validated and stored, the vendor updates a call management repository record and terminates the bridge call.
