摘要: The present invention relates to a veterinary supplement composition for preventing colic that includes simethicone and optionally sorbitol. The veterinary supplement composition is administered orally by syringe or mixed with animal feed. The veterinary supplement composition can be liquid or powder. Dosage is determined by body weight from about 1 mL per 400 pounds of body weight to about 1.2 mL per 400 pounds of body weight. Palatants can be added to improve animal taste likability. Such Palatants can include mint, apple, cinnamon, peppermint, banana, and others. The oral supplement can also be used in the prevention of colic in horses.

摘要: The present disclosure provides feed composition comprising at least one cyclopropenoid fatty acids or at least one conjugated linoleic acid and at least one cyclopropenoid fatty acids with normal or basal feed. After administration of one of the feed compositions, improved health aspects, reduced health issues, reduced mortality, increased carcass gain and repartitioning nutrients to muscles, and controlled carcass iodine value in non-human animals as compared to a control group not fed with the feed composition.

摘要: A method for using treated biochar to reduce the overall environmental impact of farming and minimize the carbon footprint of farms is provided. The method comprising engaging in one or more of the following practices: (1) combining treated biochar with feed or using biochar as feed for animals to reduce methane from enteric fermentation and increase animal health and nutrition; (2) combining treated biochar with compost, animal bedding or manure piles to reduce odor and increase nutrient retention; (3) applying treated biochar to lagoons to reduce odor and treat water; (4) applying treated biochar to pastures to increase pasture health; (5) applying treated biochar to crops to increase crop productivity, healthier roots and prevent fertilizer leaching; and (6) using the carbon negativity of a produced biochar to reduce the overall farm or ranch carbon footprint.

摘要: Provided is a method of using a copper-calcium sulphate as an animal feed additive. When used in animal breeding, a low dose of the copper-calcium sulphate can achieve the effect of that high dosage of copper sulphate achieve in the promotion of animal growth, and thus the copper-calcium sulphate can be used as an animal basic nutritional supplement to substitute low-copper preparations in the breeding of poultry, livestock or aquatic animals. Copper-calcium sulphate, used as a novel, efficient and safe feed additive in the feed processing industry and animal breeding industry, can reduce the dosage of copper ion by nearly 50-70% to achieve the same production performance, can significantly reduce the use of copper in animal husbandry, and can reduce the production costs, reduce the toxic side effects of a high level of copper, and reduce the environmental pollution, thus the copper-calcium sulphate is a copper compound with unique advantages.

摘要: The present invention relates to dissolvable containers for animal feed micro-ingredients, and methods for using such dissolvable containers to prepare an animal feed mixture. Ingredients required in very small amounts with respect to the rest of the components in an animal feed, i.e., micro-ingredients, can be pre-measured and sealed within the dissolvable containers, which can be made from a water-soluble polymer film, then added to the other feed components when the complete animal feed is being prepared.

摘要: A method for capturing material extracted from biochar is provided comprising the steps of: (i) providing a biochar; (ii) contacting the biochar with an extraction media, where the extraction media causes the removal of residual compounds from the pores and surface of the biochar, creating a resulting extract comprised of the extraction media and removed compounds; and (iii) collecting the resulting extract. The method also can include other steps of extraction and purification. The method further comprises the step of applying the resulting extract to seeds, plants, soil, other agricultural products, or for use in other applications. A biochar having high levels of soluble signaling compounds is also provided, where the biochar is derived from a biomass source that together with predefined pyrolysis parameters produces resulting biochar having increased levels of soluble signaling compounds that are known to increase seed germination rates and early plant growth. Such soluble signaling compounds can then be collected in a biochar extract by contacting the biochar with an extraction media.
