Abstract: A system for monitoring neural activity of a living subject is provided. The system may comprise a correspondence module configured to be in communication with (1) a neural module and (2) one or more additional modules comprising a sensing module, another neural module, and/or a data storage module. The neural module(s) are configured to collect neural data indicative of perceptions experienced by the living subject. The sensing module may be configured to collect (1) sensor data indicative of real-world information about an environment around the living subject, and/or (2) sensor data indicative of a physical state or physiological state of the living subject. The data storage module may be configured to store prior neural data and/or prior sensor data. The correspondence module may be configured to measure a correspondence (a) between the neural data collected by the neural module(s) and the sensor data collected by the sensing module, (b) between the neural data collected by two or more neural modules, and/or (c) between the neural data collected by the neural module(s) and the prior data stored in data storage module. The measured correspondence can be used to determine a presence, absence, or extent of a potential cognitive or physiological disturbance of the living subject.

Abstract: Techniques are described for determining cognitive impairment, an example of which includes accessing a set of epochs of magnetoencephalography (MEG) data of responses of a brain of a test patient to a plurality of auditory stimulus events; processing the set of epochs to identify parameter values one or more of which is based on information from the individual epochs without averaging or otherwise collapsing the epoch data. The parameter values are input into a model that is trained based on the parameters to determine whether the test patient is cognitively impaired.

Abstract: Brain modelling includes receiving time-coded bio-signal data associated with a user; receiving time-coded stimulus event data; projecting the time-coded bio-signal data into a lower dimensioned feature space; extracting features from the lower dimensioned feature space that correspond to time codes of the time-coded stimulus event data to identify a brain response; generating a training data set for the brain response using the features; training a brain model using the training set, the brain model unique to the user; generating a brain state prediction for the user output from the trained brain model, and automatically computing similarity metrics of the brain model as compared to other user data; and inputting the brain state prediction to a feedback model to determine a feedback stimulus for the user, wherein the feedback model is associated with a target brain state.

Abstract: An audiometric test method is provided where a noise stress test is applied to a subject, during the application of the noise stress test measuring one or more indicators reflecting a subjects purinergic hearing adaptation to noise exposure. The measured indicators are analysed to quantify degree of change and rate of change of the subjects purinergic hearing adaptation to noise exposure. Abstract: A system includes a communication interface for receiving information that includes data collected from an array of neural activity sensors that were placed on a patient during a session of applied stimuli. A processor is configured to analyze the received information to obtain a frequency spectrum for each sensor for a given stimulus of the applied stimuli. Neural network frequencies that correspond to an indicated impaired functionality of the nervous system of the patient are selected. For each selected frequencies, a spatial map of neural activity is generated. Each of the generated spatial maps is compared with retrieved corresponding spatial maps to identify treatment frequencies from among the selected neural network frequencies. A treatment protocol is generated for input into an electromagnetic field generator to cause the generator to apply to the patient an electromagnetic field at each identified treatment frequency.

Abstract: A biological signal analysis device includes: an acquiring unit configured to acquire biological signals of a measurement target; a trigger information acquiring unit configured to acquire, from a stimulator configured to apply stimuli to the measurement target, trigger information indicating times at which the stimuli are generated; and a signal processing unit configured to process the biological signals. The signal processing unit is configured to calculate biological information on the measurement target based on the biological signals, maintain only pieces of trigger information corresponding to times at which it is determined that biological signals of the measurement target are generated, from the calculated biological information, delete another piece of trigger information, and use an averaged waveform that is obtained by performing an averaging process on the biological signals that are generated in synchronization with the stimuli based on the pieces of remaining trigger information.
