摘要: In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides examples of a method for treating a demyelinating neuropathy. Electrodes can be placed on a muscle area of a patient to acquire a compound muscle action potential (CMAP) measure of the muscle integrity of the patient. A biological sample of the patient can be obtained. The patient can be identified as having a demyelinating neuropathy by inputting a conduction measure associated with a CMAP amplitude comprised in the CMAP measure into a regression model to determine a conduction measure that is within a demyelinating range defined by the regression model and determining, from the biological sample of the patient, a biomarker activity measure of the patient that is above a predetermined threshold. The method includes administering to the patient identified as having a demyelinating neuropathy a therapeutically effective amount of at least one agent used to treat the demyelinating neuropathy.

摘要: A functional electrical stimulation (FES) device includes electrodes arranged to apply functional electrical stimulation to a body part of the user. FES stimulation is performed by: receiving values of a set of user metrics for the user; receiving a target position of the body part represented as values for a set of body part position measurements; determining a user-specific energization pattern for producing the target position based on the received target position and the received values of the set of user metrics for the user; and energizing the electrodes of the FES device in accordance with the determined user-specific energization pattern. The determination may utilize an FES calibration database with records having fields containing: values of the set of user metrics for reference users; energization patterns; and values of the set of body part position metrics for positions assumed by the body part in response to applying the energization patterns.

摘要: The utilization of sensors towards the study of internal and external work at the distal lower extremity during movement is presented. Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) and Electromyography (EMG) sensors are paired together to calculate the neuromuscular effort and torque at the ankle and are compared with plantar pressure and torque measurements using the pressure mat. Subsequently image tracking data is also to inform machine learning models that predict real-world distance movement from video recorded movement. Finally, a mobile application is developed allowing users to see a simulation of their movements, among other information.

摘要: A method and system for determining rehabilitation treatment of a joint, the method comprising communicatively connecting to a plurality of sensors attached to an individual at muscles in a joint area, wherein the plurality of sensors transmit electrical signals generated by the muscle to the computing device. The method further comprising receiving the electrical signals from the plurality of sensors, generating initial measurement data by evaluating strength and activity level of the muscles based on the electrical signals, and comparing the initial measurement data with reference data, wherein the reference data includes measurements of healthy people with normal muscle function. The method further comprising generating a training plan based on the comparison.

摘要: A device for functional electrical stimulation (FES), neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), and/or in receiving electromyography (EMG) signals includes a sleeve and electrodes. The sleeve is sized and shaped to be worn on a human arm, and comprises a stretchable fabric The electrodes are secured with the sleeve and positioned to contact skin of the human arm when the sleeve is worn on the human arm. An electronic circuit is configured to operate the electrodes. The electronic circuit includes relays connecting the electrodes with a stimulator for performing FES or NMES, and EMG readout circuitry connecting the electrodes with an EMG amplifier. The relays are closed during FES or NMES to connect the stimulator with the electrodes. The relays are open during EMG readout to isolate the stimulator from the EMG amplifier.
