Abstract: A movable object includes one or more processors individually or collectively configured to assess a location of the movable object, calculate a distance between the movable object and a restricted region using the location of the movable object, assess whether the distance falls within a first distance threshold, and instruct the movable object to take a movement response measure selected from (1) a first movement response measure when the distance falls within the first distance threshold, and (2) a second movement response measure different from the first movement response measure when the distance falls outside the first distance threshold. The first movement response measure is related to a current movement status of the movable object.

Abstract: A suspended aerial vehicle system includes an aerial vehicle with a thruster assembly and a supporting line attached to the aerial vehicle that is capable of supporting at least some of the weight of the aerial vehicle. The supporting line may have an adjustable length which when varied, and in coordination with variations in a thrust characteristic of the aerial vehicle, may change the position of the aerial vehicle. Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a trans-media unmanned aerial vehicle device and a control method thereof. The trans-media unmanned aerial vehicle device includes a housing, and a piston which is arranged in the housing and is capable of moving in a reciprocating manner in the housing; one end of the housing is provided with an opening; several flying wings are uniformly arranged in a circumferential direction of the piston; the flying wings are rotatably connected to a side of the piston facing the opening and are spread or retracted like an umbrella; and under the pushing of the piston, the flying wings can be spread to the outside of the housing and retracted back into the housing.

Abstract: An aircraft has a boom, a propulsion assembly coupled to a first end of the boom, and a first wing coupled to a second end of the boom. The propulsion assembly is coupled to the boom by a rotating joint. A second wing is optionally coupled to the rotating joint. The first wing is coupled to the boom by a rotating joint. The first wing is coupled to the rotating joint by a hinge. A vehicle with roll, pitch, and yaw maneuverability able to mirror the aircraft movements may be coupled to the second end of the boom. The vehicle body may be picked up with a vehicle chassis disconnected from the vehicle body. The boom houses an energy source to power the propulsion assembly. A rudder is coupled to the second end of the boom. A paddle is disposed between the propulsion assembly and the boom.

Abstract: A drone for delivering plural repeaters in a hostile environment and method of delivering plural repeaters from the drone. The drone is controllable from a remote base station and carries a payload of repeaters on a round tray. The tray has a dispensing hole, complementary to the geometry of the repeater for dispensing the repeaters as needed. Repeaters are consecutively dispensed at stations as determined by an operator. A central radial arm sweeps each repeater around the tray, in turn, until the hole is encountered and the repeater gravity drops to a surface below. The drone may have two or more vertically stacked trays to increase payload without increasing footprint.

The timing apparatus includes: a timing unit configured to generate a current reference time and to send the current reference time to at least one system in the UAV; and a power supply unit connected to the timing unit and configured to supply power to the timing unit. According to the timing apparatus provided in the present application, the current reference time is generated through the timing unit in the technical apparatus, and is provided to the system in the UAV, thereby synchronizing a system time of the UAV with the current reference time.

Abstract: An apparatus in which electric power is generated for an electrical load from differentials in electric field strengths within a vicinity of powerlines includes: a plurality of electrodes separated and electrically insulated from one another for enabling differentials in voltage resulting from differentials in electric field strength experienced there at; and electrical components electrically connected therewith and configurable to establish one or more electric circuits whereby voltage differentials cause a current to flow through the established electric circuit for powering the electrical load. Preferably, the apparatus includes a control assembly having one or more voltage-detector components configured to detect relative voltages of the electrodes; and a processor enabled to configure-based on the detected voltages and based on voltage and electric current specifications for powering the electrical load—one or more of the electrical components to establish an electric circuit for powering the electrical load.

Abstract: Disclosed is a configuration to control automatic return of an aerial vehicle. The configuration stores a return location in a storage device of the aerial vehicle. The return location may correspond to a location where the aerial vehicle is to return. One or more sensors of the aerial vehicle are monitored during flight for detection of a predefined condition. When a predetermined condition is met a return path program may be loaded for execution to provide a return flight path for the aerial vehicle to automatically navigate to the return location.
