    摘要: To provide a surface sizing agent for papermaking, which has good low foamability and mechanical stability and has an excellent sizing effect. The surface sizing agent for papermaking is a surface sizing agent for papermaking, comprising a composition obtained by polymerizing unsaturated monomers in the presence of a starch, wherein the amount of the starch is 25 to 40 mass % based on the total amount of the starch and the unsaturated monomers, the unsaturated monomers comprise at least a styrenic compound and a (meth)acrylic ester compound, and the amount of the styrenic compound is 10 mass % or more and less than 30 mass %, and the amount of the (meth)acrylic ester compound is 20 to 50 mass %, based on the total amount of the starch and the unsaturated monomers.

    摘要: A transparent, non-stratified, three dimensional resin reinforced fibrous sheet and the process for its preparation is disclosed. A fibrous sheet is impregnated or coated with one or more tri or higher functional monomers that can be polymerized in-situ to form three dimensional polymer resins, in close contact with the fibrous material of the sheet. A transparentized fibrous sheet results which is resistant to water and alcohols, highly and evenly translucent and useful as tracing media vellum as well as a translucent base for sensitizing with reprographic coatings.

    摘要: This invention relates to a method for preparing paper board having excellent wet tensile strength and compression strength, which comprises (a) having paper board impregnated or coated with a mixture of an unsaturated vinyl ester prepolymer having a molecular weight of 300 to 3000 and having at least one hydroxyl group at the .beta.-position with respect to an ester bond in the molecule with at least one monomer selected from the group of methylacrylate, ethylacrylate and butylacrylate in a mixing weight ratio of 10:90-40:60, and (b) irradiating the paper board having the resinous mixture with electrons to cure the resinous mixture.
