    Abstract: Embossed decorative boards having first and second opposite edges with a third and a fourth adjacent edge. The board includes an upper side decorative surface an upper side embossing and a base layer. The embossing is comprised by surface structure areas of which at least four are first and second outermost surface structure areas. The first outermost surface structure area has each one end edge coinciding with the first edge of the board while the second outermost surface structure area has each one end edge coinciding with the second edge. At least two surface structures having different visual characteristics are used, wherein two adjacent outermost surface structure areas within the same board have different surface structures. The end edge of the outermost surface structure areas with the same ordinal number of the first edge and the second edge has mainly the same length while the surface structure is similar.

    Abstract: A coated paper is white and glossy enough to give satisfaction as a printing paper, exhibits a good printability in offset sheet-fed printing and a high printing gloss, and does not degrade the print efficiency. The coated paper is characterized by having two or more coating layers composed mainly of a pigment and an adhesive on at least one side of a base paper. When ink is transferred onto the paper, the ink settability is relatively low in the early stage of the drying process and relatively high in the final stage.

    Abstract: Laminated board for exterior cladding formed from a core (13) of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin, at least one layer of natural wood (14) and at least one surface covering layer (15) including a coating film (17) and a substrate film (16). The coating film (17) is a single-layer film based on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), a two-layer film with its lower layer based on polymethyl methacrylate and its upper layer based on polyvinylidine fluoride (PVDF), or a PMMA/PVDF single-layer film. The substrate film (16) consists of a paper impregnated with a compound formed from 80-95% by weight of a phenolic resin and 5-20% by weight of a polymer promoting adhesion of the coating film (17), such as an acrylic, melamine or urea polymer or a combination thereof.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a production process for a transparent heat-resistant resin, and further, a transparent heat-resistant resin and uses therefor, wherein the production process involves high dealcoholation conversion and a low content of residual volatiles in the resultant resin, and therefore can prevent foam or silver streak from occurring in the molded product, and further, facilitates melt-molding such as injection molding, and is fit for industrial production, and involves good efficiency. The production process for a transparent heat-resistant resin comprises the step of running a dealcoholation reaction of a polymer having a hydroxyl group and an ester group in its molecular chain to introduce a lactone ring structure into the polymer to obtain a transparent resin having the heat resistance, and is characterized in that the dealcoholation reaction is run in the presence of a solvent, and further characterized by further comprising a devolatilization step which is carried out jointly with the dealcoholation reaction.
