    摘要: Exemplary apparatuses, systems, and methods are provided to produce steam for use in oil field applications. In some embodiments, a catalyst is provided that includes a plurality of ceramic bodies impregnated with an alkaline-promoted manganese oxide. In other embodiments, the catalyst includes a plurality of bodies formed of an active ceramic oxide in a consolidated state without an underlying ceramic body. The bodies are contacted with a liquid hydrogen peroxide having a strength, in one embodiment, between about 30 and about 70 weight percent to produce steam. The steam is directed to an oil field application, such as, but not limited to, a geologic formation to increase oil production from the geologic formation, an applicator to clean oilfield equipment, a heat exchanger to heat hydrogen peroxide, or a heat exchanger to heat living quarters.

    摘要: A spraying heat preservation vapor supplying device comprises: a heat preservation boiler having an inner chamber, an outer chamber surrounding the inner chamber and a compartment layer separating the inner chamber from the outer chamber; a high heat capacity material filled in the outer chamber; a heater connected to the heat preservation boiler and heating the high heat capacity material, heat of the high heat capacity material being transferred to the inner chamber through the compartment layer; a supplier tube having a first end disposed in the inner chamber; a liquid source connected to a second end of the supplier tube and supplying a liquid to the inner chamber through the supplier tube to absorb heat of the inner chamber so that a vapor is generated; and a vapor outlet connected to the inner chamber and outputting the vapor. A generator apparatus using the vapor supplying device is also provided.

    摘要: Apparatus, systems, methods, and computer program products are disclosed for providing software updates to client devices. A client device (such as a thermostat) executes software to perform one or more functionalities of the device. Upon receiving an indicating that a software update is available, the device waits to download the software update until pre-download conditions are satisfied. Once the software update is downloaded, the device then waits to install the software update until pre-install conditions are satisfied. If the software update is non-critical and received during an initial installation of the device, the software update may not be installed until after installation of the device is complete. If the device is a thermostat, the device may delay installation of the software update until a controlled HVAC system in inactive. Control of the HVAC system may be disabled during installation of the software update.

    摘要: Subterranean generation of heat as a source of energy optionally accompanied by the production of minerals. In subterranean formations of minerals that are capable of undergoing an enthalpic degradation, such degradation is artificially accelerated by several orders of magnitude. To this end a bore hole is drilled down to the desired formation and accelerated enthalpic degradation is made to occur by a suitable ignition. For the extraction of energy the bore hole is flushed with water and the resulting steam is withdrawn. In one embodiment, one and the same bore hole is used for charging water and withdrawing steam. In another embodiment the bore holes are arranged pairwise, one bore hole of each pair serving for ignition and introduction of water and the other serves for the withdrawal of steam.After the formation has cooled down to the point where steam is no longer generated to any significant extent it is possible to continue with flushing and subjecting the reemerging aqueous phase to an operation or sequence of operations for the recovery of minerals therefrom.
