Abstract: A current-controlled oscillator receives an input current. Ramp voltage generating circuitry generates first and second ramp voltages in response to the input current. Selecting circuitry selects one of the first and second ramp voltages depending on their relative values. Switching circuitry receives a selected ramp voltage, generates a signal based on the selected ramp voltage relative to a reference voltage, and outputs a clock signal. In one embodiment, a comparator receives the reference voltage, one of the first and second ramp voltages, and outputs a comparison signal. Logic circuitry controls the ramp voltage generating circuitry to output one of the ramp voltages during one half of a clock cycle and to output the other ramp voltage during another half cycle of the clock signal based on the comparison signal and logic states of the logic circuitry.

Abstract: A low-power wake-up receiver. The receiver includes a transformer/filter resonating at a pre-selected frequency to realize passive RF voltage gain. A pseudo-balun envelope detector is coupled to an output of the transformer filter. A comparator or other quantizer is coupled to an output of the active pseudo-balun envelope detector (ED) for comparing the ED output to a comparison threshold voltage. The pseudo-balun envelop detector can be an active detector. The pseudo-balun detector can also be a passive detector.

Abstract: A system includes an input voltage supply and advanced current mode (ACM) converter device coupled to the input voltage supply. The ACM converter device (102) includes a pulse-skipping mode (PSM) transitions controller configured to switch between PSM and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). The system also includes an output inductor coupled to a switch node of the ACM converter device. The system also includes an output capacitor with a first terminal coupled to the output inductor and a second terminal coupled to a ground node. The system also includes a voltage divider in parallel with the output capacitor, where the voltage divider is configured to provide a feedback voltage to the ACM converter device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a technology capable of compensating for a frequency error in a quadrature relaxation oscillator. The quadrature relaxation oscillator generates a signal at a desired frequency by using a resistor and a capacitor which are less sensitive to a PVT (Process, Voltage, Temperature) variation, generates a signal at a desired frequency by compensating for an error from design, which is caused by a mismatch between circuits due to a characteristic of a semiconductor process, through a feedback lop, and removes noise.

Abstract: A system may include a ramp generation circuit for generating a ramp waveform and comprising a first passive circuit element having an impedance pertinent to generation of the ramp waveform and a control circuit comprising a second passive circuit element which is impedance-correlated to the first passive circuit element. The control circuit may be configured to use the second passive circuit element to generate a control signal for controlling the ramp generation circuit, such that a correlation between the first passive circuit element and the second passive circuit element substantially cancels physical variations of the first passive circuit element and the second passive circuit element and use a control signal clock for generating the control signal that is related to a ramp generation clock for generating the ramp waveform such that a magnitude of the ramp waveform remains substantially independent of frequency of operation.
