摘要: Embodiments relate continuous process for treating tailings that includes providing tailings for treatment having at least 20 wt % solids, providing a mixing apparatus having a first inlet for feeding the tailings, a second inlet for feeding flocculants, an outlet for a mixture of the tailings and flocculants, and a rotating disk, the first inlet being separate from the second inlet, the second inlet being above the rotating disk, and the rotating disk having a tip speed at least 2 m/s, continuously introducing into the mixing apparatus the tailings through the first inlet and the flocculants through the second inlet, allowing the tailings and the flocculants to mix on the rotating disk to form the mixture of the tailings and flocculants, continuously removing the mixture of the tailings and flocculants through the outlet to form a treated mixture, and flowing the treated mixture from the mixing apparatus for further treatment or to a disposal area.

摘要: Systems and methods for the automated demineralization of bone and decellularization of soft tissue include a mixing assembly communicatively coupled with a control and reporting system. The mixing assembly includes a housing that supports a cannister sub-assembly forming a mixing chamber having a reagent inlet, a reagent outlet, and an internal fluid agitator. A motor is operably coupled with the agitator and configured to spin the agitator in first and second directions relative to the cannister, thereby agitating fluid contained within the mixing chamber. At least one pump is configured to progressively inject measured quantities of a plurality of reagents into the mixing chamber. The associated control and reporting system includes a user terminal that displays a graphical user interface enabling a user to initiate an automated demineralization or decellularization procedure in which the mixing assembly demineralizes tissue placed within the mixing chamber. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

摘要: An apparatus is especially suitable for high volume manufacture of a non-dairy frozen dessert. Pre-frozen blocks of ingredient mixture are masticated in a first stage of the apparatus and aerated in a second stage of the apparatus. Compressed air is injected into a masticated slurry produced by the first stage and mixed into the slurry in the second stage. A continuous process transforms the pre-frozen blocks into a masticated, aerated slurry suitable for immediate consumption, storage for later consumption, or processing into bars or other forms. This apparatus and process is suitable for some ingredient mixtures for which a scrape surface heat exchanger apparatus and process are not suitable.

It includes a rotatable inner tank, arranged in an outer tank, wherein the inner tank is provided with a blending shaft; a second blending blade, distributed on an outer wall of the inner tank; the emulsification tank is provided with a partition plate, an overfeed hole is provided at a center of the partition plate; a rotary shaft is provided at a center of the emulsification tank, and the rotary shaft is connected with the blending shaft through the overfeed hole; a first disk and a second disk are provided on the rotary shaft. The present invention can carry out more efficient mixing of the asphalt, better heating uniformity, and at the same time realize a integrated processing of the mixing and emulsification of asphalt and soap.

摘要: Kneading and mixing device for manipulation of impacted consumer foodstuff media in combination with a powered hand drill or equivalent. An elongate shaft and a small diameter distally attached disc of formed curvatures keep initially engaged media within its own mechanical sweep until guided to media not yet engaged. A spiraling downward media flow about the shaft to the submerged disc occurs after impaction softening, this flow utilizing media cohesiveness to keep the shaft clear of flinging and clumping media. The disc presents a smooth circle in planform, allowing safe high speed contact to a glass jar wall while presenting a safer rotating consumer device. The consumer is free of concerns for jar height, jar mouth sizes, and custom fitting lids. Eliminated are unreachable jar bottom areas, the difficulty of integrating semi-solid impacted layers, flinging media from the shaft during use, and time consuming cleaning of clumping media.
