摘要: An on-board apparatus to be installed on a train, the apparatus including; an on-board control device that controls running and stopping of the train during operation of the train; and an on-board wireless device that performs wireless communication with a ground apparatus, and starts the on-board control device when receiving a first signal from the ground apparatus while the train is staying overnight, the first signal notifying that the train moves, wherein while the train is staying overnight, the on-board control device is started under the control of the on-board wireless device, and performs control so as to stop the train.

摘要: A first ground apparatus performs polling communication with a train using a first train list. A second ground apparatus performs polling communication with a train using a second train list. Each ground apparatus respectively acquires train location information from the trains to be managed. The first ground apparatus notifies the second ground apparatus of a going-out notification of a boundary passing train that goes out from a first radio communication control region and comes in a second radio communication control region, and, in the case where the boundary passing train goes out from the first radio communication control region, deletes train identification information of the boundary passing train from the first train list. The second ground apparatus adds the train identification information of the boundary passing train to the second train list in the case where the going-out notification is input from the first ground apparatus.

摘要: A method for commanding a railway level crossing protection system comprising: a) activating a railway signal preventing a train from driving beyond a level crossing; b) detecting an incoming train approaching the level crossing and measuring a speed of said incoming train; c) calculating a waiting time, as a function of the train's measured speed; d) waiting until expiration of the calculated waiting time and, once said waiting time expires, sending an order to commute the protection system into the protected state; and e) querying the state of the protection system and if said protection system is found to have commuted into the protected state, deactivating said railway signal, and maintaining said railway signal in the activated state otherwise.

摘要: A switch alignment detection and enforcement system for a switch for a railway track having a normal leg and a reverse leg, the switch having a normal position for entry on the normal leg after the switch and a reverse position for entry on the reverse leg after the switch.
