摘要: Embodiments of a curved vehicle display including a display module having a display surface, a curved glass substrate disposed on the display surface having a first major surface, a second major surface having a second surface area, and a thickness in a range from 0.05 mm to 2 mm, wherein the second major surface comprises a first radius of curvature of 200 mm or greater, wherein, when the display module emits a light, the light transmitted through the glass substrate has a substantially uniform color along 75% or more of the second surface area, when viewed at a viewing angle at a distance of 0.5 meters from the second surface. Methods of forming a curved vehicle display are also disclosed.

摘要: Disclosed are a coating for glass molding, a preparation method and application thereof and a mold having the coating. The coating includes a nitride layer and nano precious metal particles which are dispersed in the nitride layer. A surface roughness of the coating is 2-12 nm. The preparation method of the coating includes: cleaning a substrate and targets under an inert gas; and under a mixed atmosphere of nitrogen and the inert gas, depositing, with a high-purity W target, a high-purity Cr target and a precious metal inserted Cr target, a Cr intermediate layer, a nitride layer and nano precious metal particles on a surface of the substrate. The coating has good oxidation resistance and excellent anti-adhesion property. Moreover, the coating effectively inhibits the adhesion between the glass body and the mold.

摘要: A method of forming a 3D mirror for a heads-up display (HUD) system includes providing a glass-based preform having a first major surface, a second major surface, and a minor surface connecting the first and second major surfaces, and further includes disposing the glass-based preform on a mold having a concave surface such that the first and second longitudinal side surfaces are adjacent to a longitudinal wall of a housing. The longitudinal wall extends from the concave surface to at least a height of the second major surface of the glass-based preform. The method further includes supplying a vacuum and conforming the second major surface to the concave surface of the mold using the vacuum. The first and second transverse side surfaces have a curved shape corresponding to a curve of the concave surface a remain coincident with the concave surface during the conforming of the second major surface.

The at least one processing portion has a different refractive index from at least another portion of the side portion.

摘要: An articulated lower mold arrangement for use with an upper mold includes a mold portion configured to bend a heated glass sheet. The mold portion has a first end, a sharp bend area proximate the first end for bending an end portion of the glass sheet, and a second end opposite the first end and spaced away from the sharp bend area. The arrangement may further include a first guide member connected to the mold portion at a first location proximate the first end, and a second guide member connected to the mold portion at a second location proximate the second end and spaced away from the sharp bend area. The mold portion and the guide members are cooperable to allow the first end of the mold portion to move from a lowered position to a raised position in order to move the end portion of the glass sheet upwardly.

Here, X1 is a numerical value equivalent to a value [unit: kPa/° C.] obtained by multiplying the Young's modulus E by an average coefficient α of thermal expansion at 50° C. to 350° C., X2 is a numeral value equivalent to a value of a temperature Tf [unit: ° C.] at which a viscosity of the glass reaches 100 MPa·s, and X3 is a numerical value equivalent to a value of a difference [unit: 105 Pa·s] between the viscosity (100 MPa·s) at the Tf and a viscosity η+10 at a temperature 10° C. higher than the Tf.
