摘要: A method of producing a cell structure includes applying a magnetic field, in a container (40), to a plurality of culture carriers to arrange the culture carriers. The culture carriers include at least one of a carrier (10) and a cell holding carrier (30), the carrier (10) having a magnetic portion (12), formed only in a part of the carrier (10), and a cell holder (11). The method also includes culturing cells (20) held on the cell holder (11) while maintaining the culture carriers in the arranged state.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a ready-to-use bio-electrode stable for long term storage and a process of constructing the same. The process for construction of bio-electrode for electro-biocatalysis comprising of: selection of an electro-active bacteria; enrichment of said electro-active bacteria in a nutrient rich medium; separation of said electro-active bacterial cells from said nutrient rich medium; selection of an electrode material; surface modification of said electrode material; layering the surface modified electrode material with conductive material; layering the surface modified electrode material with an electro-active bacterial cells along with biofilm inducing agents and stabilizing agents; conditioning the electro-active bacterial cells layered electrode; incubating the electrode obtained with an immobilizing agent along with conductive material; and conditioning the electrode with micronutrients to obtain a bio-electrode.

摘要: A sensor implanted in tissues and including a sensing layer is fabricated by mixing the signal transduction enzyme with non-reactive components including buffer salts and fillers, and spin coating the enzyme onto a substrate. The signal transduction enzyme is crosslinked by introducing the coated substrate in a vacuum chamber. In the chamber, a crosslinker evaporates and is deposited onto the enzyme, therefore crosslinking the enzyme.

摘要: The process of making a biocomposite material utilize a bacterial species and a fungal species in an agricultural feedstock composed of a substrate of non-nutrient discrete particles and a nutrient material wherein the bacterial species imparts mechanical properties to the biocomposite material and the fungal species binds the biocomposite material. Both bacterium and fungus can be genetically engineered to produce desired properties within the microbial communities.

摘要: The present invention provides a method, wherein the method forms a biofilm, wherein the biofilm comprises a population of at least one bacterial strain attached to particles, wherein the biofilm is configured to colonize a gut of a subject in need thereof for at least five days, when ingested by the subject, the method comprising: a. obtaining a population comprising at least one strain of bacteria; b. inoculating a growth medium containing particles with the population comprising at least one strain of bacteria; c. incubating the particles with the population comprising at least one bacterial strain for a time sufficient for the population of at least one strain of bacteria to attach to the particles; and d. culturing the population comprising at least one strain of bacteria attached to the particles in a growth medium, for a time sufficient to form a biofilm.

摘要: The invention is directed to compositions and methods for the manufacture of pigmented solids structures for which can be used for construction and/or decoration. Manufacturing comprises fixing one or more pigments to an aggregate material such as crushed rock, stone or sand. The pigmented aggregate is incubated with urease or urease producing microorganisms, an amount of a nitrogen source such as urea, and an amount of calcium source such as calcium chloride forming calcite bridges between particles of aggregate. The resulting solid has a hardness and colorfastness for most any construction material. Using selected aggregate and pigment, the process also provides for the manufacture of simulated-stone materials such as clay or granite bricks or blocks, marble counter-tops, and more. The invention is also directed to composition containing microorganisms and pigment as kits that can be added to most any aggregate materials.
