    摘要: The present disclosure provides an improved system and method of operating a fuel injector of an engine to provide at least two different types of fuel spray in a combustion chamber of the engine by application of ultrasonic pulses to fuel in the fuel injector during an injection event. A first type of spray includes larger droplets that reduce the effective diffusion combustion area around the droplets and a second type of spray includes relatively small droplets that increase the effective diffusion combustion area around the droplets.

    摘要: An injection device includes a housing, a first member accommodated in the housing and having an inner space which is terminated at one side thereof in a seat, a second member having at one end thereof a head and disposed in the inner space of the nozzle member in such a manner that an axial passage is defined therebetween and the head and the seat constitute a valve, and an actuator for opening/closing the valve. A horn has an ultrasonic vibrator to vibrate the horn so that injected fuel is atomized.

    摘要: A fuel conservation device free of moving parts and adapted to be interposed between the carburetor and intake manifold of an internal combustion engine. The device comprises three components or stages: a static vortex generator, an ultrasonic transducer and an electric current carrying wire grid or screen. The static vortex generator creates physical mixing of the air and fuel mixture as well as centrifugally impinging the air and fuel mixture against the ultrasonic transducer(s) for further atomization. Passing through the heated grid promotes thermal vaporization as well as magnetic field perturbation on a molecular level. The resulting increased dispersion and atomization of the fuel into the air improves engine performance including fuel economy and ease of starting.

    摘要: The ultrasonic atomizer system serves to atomize fuel to be injected into internal combustion engines, thereby forming droplets of identical diameters (d.sub.T). The ultrasonic atomizer system includes an atomizer housing having a pressure chamber into which fuel is delivered under pressure by a pump. An ultrasonic vibrator protudes into the atomizer housing. Transport lines that transmit the vibrations lead from the pressure chamber to nozzles on the air intake tubes of the engine. A plurality of injection ports are provided in each of the nozzles and the streams of liquid emerging from the injection ports of each nozzle are made to undergo a monodisperse disintegration by the vibrations of the ultrasonic vibrator to form droplets of equal diameter (d.sub.T).
