If restricted, the computing system might utilize various network access techniques and/or technologies to block the consumer's access to the other content, to allow access to the other content on a charge per access basis, or to allow access to the other content at reduced network access speeds. In some embodiments, an access provider (e.g., an Internet service provider, etc.) might perform both determination and implementation of content access and restriction.

In conjunction with a cloud-based service, a mobile device application obtains product information and logs product events for extracted identifiers. The cloud service generates recommendations, and mapping for in-store navigation. The detectors also provide reliable and efficient product identification for purchase events, and post shopping product consumption events.

摘要： In various embodiments, an encoding optimization application positions key frames within encoded video sequences based on shot changes. The encoding optimization application determines key frame location(s) based on shot change(s) included in a source video sequence associated with a media title. Each key frame location is associated with a different frame included in the source video sequence. For each of the key frame location(s), the encoding optimization application configures an encoding application to encode a frame of video content located at the key frame location as a key frame when performing encoding operations. Subsequently, the encoding optimization application causes the encoding application to perform encoding operation(s) on the source video sequence to generate a first encoded video sequence. During playback, the media title is switchable between a decoded version of the first encoded video sequence and a decoded version of a second encoded video sequence at the key frame location(s).

摘要： Indexing of media sources available to media composition applications, such as video editing applications and digital audio workstations, is extended to sources of an arbitrary type, including non-file type sources. Examples of such sources include devices using baseband video and audio protocols, network ports and physical devices connected via USB, Thunderbolt, etc. The sources are discovered and indexed even when not previously known to the application with the result that any available bitstream becomes available to the application. Applications access the sources via feeders, which are addressable portals through which media essence is received. The indexing methods involve the instantiation of a hierarchy of plug-in software modules by a format-handling subsystem of the application or by a media indexing service servicing one or more applications.
