    摘要: According to one embodiment, a magnetic recording device includes a magnetic head and a controller. The magnetic head includes first and second magnetic poles, a magnetic element provided between the first and second magnetic poles, and first and second terminals. The controller is configured to perform a recording operation. In the recording operation, the controller is configured to supply a recording current to the coil while applying an element voltage not less than a first voltage and not more than a second voltage between the first terminal and the second terminal. A differential resistance of the magnetic element when a positive applied voltage applied between the first terminal and the second terminal is changed while the recording current is supplied to the coil becomes a first peak when the applied voltage is the first voltage.

    摘要: A noise cancellation technique is presented with improved frequency resolution. The method includes: acquiring a digitized noise signal from an environment in which the audio signal stream is present; receiving a data sample from the digitized noise signal; appending one or more additional samples to the data sample to form a series of samples, where magnitude for each of the one or more additional samples is substantially zero; computing a frequency domain representation of the series of samples in the frequency domain; shifting the frequency domain representation of the series of samples in time using the digital processor circuit, thereby producing a shifted frequency domain representation of the series of samples; converting the shifted frequency domain representation of the series of samples to time domain to form a portion of an anti-noise signal; and outputting the anti-noise signal into the audio signal stream to abate the noise through destructive interference.

A device may comprise a circuit configured to implement an error correction coding scheme applying different code rate error correction codes on adjacent tracks within a same recording zone. The circuit may perform a read operation, including simultaneously detecting bits from a first track and a second track of the adjacent tracks, iteratively applying detected bits from the first track to perform adjacent track interference cancellation (ATIC) to decode bits from the second track, and iteratively applying detected bits from the second track to perform ATIC to decode bits from the first track.

    摘要: Noise generation in transferring data is suppressed or prevented by transferring data at a data transfer rate according to the amount of data to be transferred to a memory. In a reproducing apparatus, when a read unit or both reads data from a storage medium or both, a determination unit determines the type of the storage medium from which the data is read, then, according to the determined type of the storage medium, a transfer rate change unit orders a data transfer unit to use a preset transfer rate corresponding to the type of the storage medium. The data transfer unit transfers the read data to the temporary storage unit at the ordered transfer rate. This allows data to be transferred without a significant change in the amount of data transfer, which suppresses or prevents noise.

A decrease in the limitation for the wiring pattern and the device arrangement provides an increase in the degree of freedom for designing, thereby making it possible to miniaturize the circuit board and to reduce the manufacturing cost thereof.
