Abstract:
The device of the present invention, having at least one activation button, is further equipped with a sensor adapted to detect conditions under which unintentional triggering of the activation button is likely. The sensor is operatively coupled with the activation button to suspend its effect when the target conditions are being detected. The undesired side-effects of false button activations, including battery drain and activation counter drift, are thus avoided, increasing the device's lifespan and user convenience. In a particular embodiment, the sensor is a decoy button located near the activation button, which serves to de-activate the activation button.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Plastic asset identification tags are described. The tags define an attachment feature by which the tag is attached to the asset. The tag also defines a cavity or slot in which an RFID transceiver is placed. Epoxy fills the remainder of the slot or cavity. The RFID transceiver is programmed to respond to interrogation by transmitting a unique identifier that is associated with the object to which the tag is attached. Additional information about the object may also be responsively transmitted, and in some embodiments that additional information is also written on the outside of the tag. Other tags seal the RFID transceiver within a pocket of flexible fabric-supported PVC.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a credit card having an implanted One-Time Password (OTP) authentication device. The credit car includes a single sheet body, and an OTP authentication device. The single sheet body is formed by bonding a plurality of sheets. The OTP authentication device is implanted to the cut portion of the sheet body.
Abstract:
A chip package includes a radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag disposed as a spacer structure on a surface of a die in a chip package. A method includes assembling an RFID spacer structure, to at least one chip such as memory or logic. A computing system includes an RFID spacer structure in a chip package.
Abstract:
The i nven t i on r e l a t e s t o a n RFI D transponder, which includes a case (1 0), a radiator (12), and a ground element (14), as opposed antenna element s, a ground plane (14a intended to be set against the base at a distance from the radiator, and an electrical chip component (16). The radiator (12), ground element (14),and chip component (16) are installed on a special foil (20), which also comprises the said ground plane (14 a) on the first plane (A) and a fold (20 a) between the first and second plane, the foil (20) being thus divided into a first part (20b) on the first plane (A), the fold (20a), and a second part (20c) on the second plane (B). The case (10) has attached to it intermediate structure (18) for supporting thefirst part (20b) and the second part (20c) of the foil (20) on the said first plane (A) and second plane (B).
Abstract:
An identification system comprises a garment (1) for wear by a user, the garment having bonded thereto an identification panel (2) comprising a photograph of the user and other identifying indicia. A camera may scan the user’s face and the photograph on the identification panel (2) to determine whether there is an acceptable degree of matching between the two images.
Abstract:
A method, system, and apparatus transfer of dies from wafers to substrates is described. Large quantities of dies can be transferred directly from a wafer to corresponding substrates of a web of substrates. In another aspect, large quantities of dies can be transferred from a support surface to corresponding substrates of a web of substrates. In another aspect, large quantities of dies can be transferred from a wafer or support surface to an intermediate surface, such as a die plate. The die plate may have cells formed therein in which the dies reside. Otherwise, the dies can reside on a surface of the die plate. The dies of the die plate can then be transferred to corresponding substrates of a web of substrates. A punch plate, punch roller, or expandable material can be used to transfer dies from the die plate to substrates.
