Abstract:
A content reproduction system that allow the user to rent or purchase any desired contents for reproduction without depending on a predetermined type of information of the user. The content reproduction system includes: a recording medium storing a license ticket including an encrypted master key; and a reproduction apparatus that receives from the user a request for a selected content and the information of the selected content, acquires distribution content information corresponding to the selected content, stores it in association with the license ticket into the recording medium. When reproducing the content, the reproduction apparatus generates a content using an encrypted content decryption key and an encrypted content that are contained in the distribution content information, and using a master decryption key information corresponding to the distribution content information, and reproduces the generated content.
Abstract:
Second content relating to first content recorded on a portable recording medium is prevented from being illegally used. A contents supply apparatus outputs signature data and the second content to a playback apparatus, the signature data having been generated based on content information relating to at least one of the first and second content, with use of first key information. A distribution apparatus that distributes the first content outputs second key information corresponding to the first key information. The playback apparatus verifies the signature data with use of the second information, and plays back the second content when the verification is successful.
Abstract:
At the time of starting from a state where operation of an engine (22) is stopped, a hybrid ECU (70) controls a motor (MG2) such that a reaction torque that acts on a drive shaft (32a) as a motor (MG1) cranks the engine (22) is cancelled. The hybrid ECU (70) controls the motor (MG2) using an engine rotation speed, at the time point when a crank position at the time of the cranking is a top dead center or near the top dead center, and the engine rotation speed is a resonance frequency band or near the resonance frequency band, and an elapsed time from that time point.
Abstract:
A hybrid vehicle can be motor driven only by the output of a rotating electrical machine using the electrical power of an in-car electrical storage device in the inside region of the maximum output line (350) of a motor running in EV mode and in the inside region of the maximum output line (340) of a motor running in EV mode. Each maximum output line (340, 350) is made up of linear portions defining the upper limit torque (TMmax) and the upper limit vehicle speed (VMmax) within a running motor and a curved portion defining the upper limit output power. Thus, when the vehicle speed exceeds the upper limit vehicle speed within the running motor, an engine is started in each an EV mode and an HV mode. The upper limit vehicle speed (VMmax (EV)) in the motor running in EV mode is set to be lower than the upper limit vehicle speed (VMmax (HV)) in the motor running in HV mode.
Abstract:
The invention provides a vehicle control system for a vehicle provided with an internal combustion engine (100), an oil pump (106) coupled to an output shaft of the internal combustion engine (100) to be driven by the internal combustion engine, and a storage device (150) for storing power, and that is capable of traveling using the power stored in the storage device. The control system includes: a rotating electrical machine (110) coupled to the output shaft of the internal combustion engine (100); and a control device (170) that controls the rotating electrical machine to rotate the output shaft of the internal combustion engine during charging of the storage device with power supplied from an exterior of the vehicle via inlet (150) and cable (300). This allows to drive the oil pump (106) for lubricating the drive train. Preferred features include to heat a catalyst (102) with heater (104) or to operate an air conditioner (174).
Abstract:
In a drive system, where power from a motor is transmitted to a drive shaft and a transmission ratio is changed by a transmission, if the absolute value of the difference between the reference torque Tm2r0, which is the drive shaft side torque Tm2r at the onset of a change in the shift speed of the transmission, and the driving shaft side torque Tm2r during the change is less than the threshold value a until the end of the change (S280), the application state of a brake in the transmission during the change and the state of the hydraulic pressure supplied to the brake are learned (S290). During the change, an actuator of the transmission is controlled using those learned results. Accordingly, any deviations that may have occurred due to changes over time in the transmission, etc. are corrected and the shift speed of the transmission is changed more appropriately.
Abstract:
Processing load on an executing device for conducting playback is high during the playback of contents since the executing device performs verification of the contents validity in parallel with the contents playback, and therefore the executing device has to be equipped with a highly efficient processor. The present invention reduces the processing load involved in the verification by using, for the verification, only a predetermined number of encrypted units selected randomly from multiple encrypted units constituting encrypted contents recorded on the DVD. In addition, the present invention is capable of improving the accuracy of detecting unauthorized contents to some extent by randomly selecting a predetermined number of encrypted units every time the verification is performed.
Abstract:
There is provided a content distribution system using the Internet employing the multi-cast method. Information on each sub license of a main body of ECM (Entitlement Control Message) includes a license ID which is sub license identification information, type information indicating whether the sub license is for preview or main view, and a location indicating the storage position (the number of bytes from the head of the ECM main body) in the license section of the sub license. The license section contains the sub license.
Abstract:
An information presentation system simplifies entry of information relating to a package media of a user, and management of the information. The information presentation system is made up of a playback apparatus, a library information management apparatus, and a terminal apparatus. The playback apparatus reads an identifier identifying a content from a portable recording medium in which the content is recorded, and transmits the read identifier to the library information management apparatus via a network. The library information management apparatus receives the identifier, acquires attribute information showing attributes of the content identified by the identifier, generates library information including the attribute information and the identifier, and stores the library information. Further, upon request by the terminal apparatus, the library information management apparatus generates presentation information based on the library information, and transmits the presentation information. The user accesses the presentation information using the terminal apparatus.
Abstract:
A storage-medium rental system includes a portable storage medium to be rented to the user, a portable semiconductor memory owned by the user, a rental-shop apparatus owned by the rental agent, and a playback apparatus owned by the user. The storage medium prestores encrypted content generated by encrypting digital work using a content encryption key. The semiconductor memory has an area f or securely storing a content decryption key. The rental-shop apparatus stores a content decryption key for decrypting the encrypted content. The rental-shop apparatus writes the content decryption key to the semiconductor memory. The playback apparatus securely reads the content decryption key from the semiconductor memory, reads the encrypted content from the storage medium, decrypts the encrypted content using the content decryption key, and plays back the decrypted content.
