    摘要: A device (3) for providing a mechanical and electrical connection between a radio frequency filter (RF filter) (1), with a radio frequency contact pin (11), and a printed circuit board (PCB) (2) is disclosed, where the contact pin (11) is adapted to be inserted through a pre-made hole (21) in the PCB (2) and where the device (3) is adapted prevent the contact pin (11) from leaving the PCB hole (21), thereby providing the mechanical and electrical connection. The device (3) is made out of a piece of sheet material (31), which has an opening (32) with a number of radial cut-outs (33a,33b,...,33n) forming a number of contact tabs (34a,34b,...,34n). The device (3) is adapted to be forced over the contact pin (11). The diameter (32a) of the opening (32) is smaller than the diameter of the contact pin (11) so that a radial contact force is created as the tabs (34a,34b,...,34n) are pressed back by the pin (11) when the device (3) is made out of an electrically conductible material (36), adapted to provided the electrical connection between the contact pin (11) and the PCB (2). The opening (32) is given a diameter in relation to the diameter of the contact pin (11) that will provide a contact force sufficiently strong to create a sufficient contact force and provide the mechanical connection.

    摘要: Apparatus and methodology are disclosed for providing effective transmission of data to and/or from an electricity meter by providing embedded radio frequency components. An antenna and stripline or microline filter arrangement are provided as embedded components in association with a transmitter or transceiver portion of the electricity meter's metrology circuitry so as to provide control of out of band harmonic radiation and to provide enhanced signal transmission to and/or from the electricity meter, to accomplish automated meter reading communications or similar. The antenna element is configured and mounted such that, once the electricity meter is fully assembled, the meter case itself can be used as part of a radiating element. An overall resulting integrated design can achieve greater economy utilizing printed circuit board approaches with no additional parts, and with less uncontrolled surface radiation because of the otherwise buried or embedded structure.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a power delivery network for providing electric current from a power supply to a radio frequency device mounted on a printed circuit board. The power delivery network comprises: the printed circuit board;the power supply;a radio frequency device adapted to draw an electric current from the power supply, varying in time, with frequencies in a predetermined frequency range; a connection line for providing the electric current from the power supply to the radio frequency device,wherein the connection line is connected to the power supply at one end thereof and to the radio frequency device at an other end thereof, and the connection line shows a parasitic impedance in the predetermined frequency range; a first capacitor coupled between the one end of the connection line and ground of the printed circuit board;a second capacitor coupled between the other end of the connection line and ground of the printed circuit board,wherein the connection line and the first capacitor form the first branch of a parallel circuit,the second capacitor forms the second branch of the parallel circuit,the first capacitor is configured such that in the predetermined frequency range, the resonance frequency of the parallel circuit is only determined by the parasitic inductance of the connection line and the capacitance of the second capacitor, and the second branch of the parallel circuit is configured to decrease the quality factor of the parallel circuit in such a way that the impedance seen by the radio frequency device towards the power supply is lower than a predetermined impedance in the predetermined frequency range.
