R 1 =H, Cl, Br, (subst.) Alkyl; R 2 = H, Cl, Br, Alkyl, - (subst) Phenyl, Thienyl oder Furanyl,
R 2 und R 4 = H, (subst) Alkyl, 2,2,6,6,-Tetramethylpiperidin- 4 -yl, Alkenyl, Alkinyl oder Cycloalkyl, oder R 3 und R 4 zusammen mit dem Stickstoffatom, an das sie geknüpft sind, eine (substituierten) (durch eine (C 1 -C 2 )-Alkylenkette überbrückten) 3-bis 9-gliedrigen gesättigten Heterocyclen- ring, der als Ringglied auch ein O-oder S-Atom oder die Gruppe NR 7 , -CH= CH -, C=O oder -CH= N enthalten kann, oder (subst.) 1,2,3,4-Tetrahydroisochinolin, oder (subst) 8-Aza-1,4-dioxa-spiro-(4,5)decan bedeuten.

Zahlreiche Verbindungen aus dieser Gruppe sind neu und werden ebenfalls von der Erfindung erfaßt. Die Verbindungen der Formel I besitzen eine breite fungizide Wirksamkeit gegen phytopathogene Pilze.

The acetals (VI) can be converted into alpha-sulfonyloxyketone acetals and thence into alpha-aromatic group substituted alkanoic acids or esters.
