The circuit blocks are covered with a sealing member, which is further covered on its surface with a conductive film to electrically shield the circuit blocks individually. This module component can maintain bending strength, with little warpage by a sufficient shielding effect achieved without increasing the number of manufacturing processes.

An object of the invention is to realize a resistance wiring board with highly accurate resistance values and overload characteristics suitable for reducing the height of the resistance wiring board. A dented pattern is formed between electrode patterns formed on a green sheet. Resistance paste is filled into the dented pattern and fired. Then, the surface of the resistance wiring board is polished to increase accuracy of the thickness of a resistance body (3), and to make the surface of an electrode (1) and resistance (3) same or lower than the surface of an insulated substrate (2). This enables to reduce the height. A substrate material containing 1.5 to 2.5 wt% TiO 2 , 1.5 to 2.5 wt% MnO, and 1.5 to 4.5 wt% SiO 2 is used for making a green sheet. Pd-Ag electrode paste containing 60 wt% or more Pd is used as an electrode material. This enables to fire the substrate material and electrode paste integrally without loosing its heat conductivity.

The filter comprises a base (4) having first and second electromagnetically-coupled strip lines (5) and (6) on the front side, and an earth pattern (2) on the reverse side, a dielectric layer (8) stacked on the front side of the base (4), and provided with capacitor patterns (9) and (10) on the front side facing the aforesaid first and second strip lines (5) and (6) with the dielectric layer (8) therebetween; and a metal cap (1) covering the dielectric layer (8). A conduction film which is connected to the earth pattern (2) on the reverse side is provided on a part of the edge of the base (4). At least a part of the outer periphery of the metal cap (1) extends to this conduction film and is connected to it.

The invention relates to a module component having chip components buried in a circuit board, and a method of manufacturing the same, and more specifically it relates to a module component capable of obtaining desired circuit characteristics and functions stably if the size of the component is reduced, being produced very efficiently, and suited to machine mounting, and a method of manufacturing the same. According to the invention, since a desired circuit is composed by disposing a specific number of chip components according to a specified rule, it is not necessary to heat the buried chip components at high temperature when forming a module, chip components are obtained in specified values, and the circuit characteristics, functions, and dimensional precision are stably obtained exactly as designed, and moreover since the chip components are disposed according to a specified rule, it is easy to automate insertion of chip components and increase its operation speed, even if the size of the chip components is reduced, and the circuit composition may be flexibly and easily changed only by changing the inserting position and type of chip components.
