PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply for vehicle which can be operated for a long time without refueling while improving energy efficiency by mounting an energy storage device. SOLUTION: The power supply for vehicle 100 comprises a first energy storage device, i.e. a battery B1, a second energy storage device, i.e. a battery B2, a motor generator MG2 for driving the wheels, a select switch RY0 for connecting one of the first and second energy storage devices selectively with the motor generator MG2, and a controller 60 for controlling switching of the select switch RY0 depending on the charged state of the first and second energy storage devices. If charging is performed when the select switch RY0 is selecting the battery B1 and the charged state of the battery B1 becomes higher than a first predetermined level, the controller 60 directs the select switch to perform switching to the second energy storage device.
